Same here too I really like when they provided their own thoughts not just watching for watching when they’re trying to decipher what’s happening it makes it more fun even when I already watched the drama I find it interesting watching it with them again

She starts working on a case then she/the law firm hits a standstill then attorney Woo solves the issue and then that case doesn’t really have that much importance to the next one. The plot focuses on this case by case cycle instead of a real heavy main plot line so it seems repetitive. Just explaining why people are saying it’s repetitive

The romance is absolutely not the focus in Vincenzo and it’s entirely through micro expressions basically when it is portrayed. I loved Vincenzo though anyway and I feel like the humor especially after episode 3 would be right up Wes and Steph’s alley. I haven’t seen iontbo yet so I’m ok if it wins anyway but saying these two are alike is kind of a stretch lol

I personally didn’t vote for EAW because the acting and character of Attorney Woo carried the whole show and I didn’t necessarily feel like they excelled at the whole plot or really romance (Junho is such a good boy but very, very flat character besides respectful and “good” is that makes sense), but that’s my own personal opinion. If a bunch of people did vote for EAW then that means that they all thought that Wes and Steph would enjoy it and it’s a good show. Let’s not bash anything basically.

Some of the details of the bullying and etc were pretty graphic and I think that’s why people aren’t necessarily voting for it. A lot of the stuff on this channel doesn’t get that visceral and also Wes and Steph have no idea about how bad bullying in Asia can get or the social classism/corruption there so I think they’d miss a lot of the context there or like why people think it’d such a good show. I loved it but I also don’t know if I could watch those first few episodes again in detail.

I didn’t vote for EAW but some people may really enjoy it. I’m glad Wes and Steph set up the poll this way so we wouldn’t have to try gaming the voting like last time and as many people can pick as many series’s as they would appreciate.

I love how Wes and Steph can go introspective in their videos and how they can provide their own reflection towards anything they watch which is really cool (and I bet they can also do that if IONTBO is going to win - although I haven't watched the show). Hopefully it wins but if not, I wish they'd watch it next lol

For me personally, halfway thru the show, I dropped it but bc I felt the pressure that I HAD to finish it (idky)I picked it up again. And ik other people that have just dropped it in the middle. Then, again everyone has different tastes so they might like it. That being said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and no one should get upset at others for a show they either like or don't. And yes, I do feel like if they were to watch other shows that were more lighthearted, it would boost their knowledge in the kdrama field so when they move on to more srs dramas, they don't mistake little things or aren't ignorant abt others which might result in them missing the point of the plot entirely.

With a psychiatric hospital as the background, we find so many unique characters who also find their healing in the drama. Basically, it's just the way some people see the storyline I guess. While I like and appreciate her character but I couldn't finish attorney woo. Personally speaking, I couldn't just sit through the drama just because I like one character if the storyline doesn't appeal to me

You already have done one very hard hitting drama already, so before you do another emotional one (Its Okay to to be Okay or something like that), Hotel Del Luna would be a great one to do next, it has great visuals, a really interesting story, its funny but also has deep moments but has the magical and mystical supernatural adventure element

I think recommending dramas with similar characters to dramas they have already seen is more repetitive and boring. Switching out which gender is "cold" or has trauma isn't fun. I don't think they will gain "more understanding" by watching other kdramas first. Woo Young Woo is a unique character. The story follows her experiencing life via her autism. Every episode follows a different case that relates to a different part of her human experience. We see her being supported and discriminated against both subtly and explicitly. We see suffering and love in a way no drama has been able to achieve before. I truly believe the show would provide a good space for commentary. It's not too serious of a show, but it is also not a joke. I guess I just wished people could see the beauty in it.

I wouldn't recommend it as this is only your second drama. It's Okay To Not Be Okay has a different dynamic to Crash Landing, so I would recommend that. Or Vincenzo. They're both really good. You can do Attorney Woo maybe in the future though
