BTS Bon Voyage S4 Episode 2

Comments

Instead, keep asking questions. Maybe watch the video?

Penny D Young

It's excruciating to have to listen to the guy talk nonstop.

Penny D Young

Food sharing is big in the SEA too. We mostly prefer it over getting orders for ourselves.

Karin

In Brasil we also ask to take the leftover food

Marcela

in estonia you can ask to take the leftover food but it is not common at all, maybe because the portions are not as big as in us for example

Kai-Riin Kanarbik

I would quite enjoy rewatching some of the earlier BTS content you reacted to again from today's perspective :) can't believe how long it's been since you watched that first BTS compilation I remember you said you sensed there were a lot of inside jokes that were lost on u lol

JnRo

Guys can you help me navigate the episode 1 of this season?

Joenne

Jungkook only wears one glove because at that time they always tried to hide his tattoos, In this season you will see Jugnkook using different things to cover his tattoos :(

Taly Hdz

YES ! And its also crazy because they waste A LOT of food. Like, I've never seen so much food wasted while staying in korea (for 2 years). I understand the logic behind ordering food to go and not sit at the table and actually leave, but they really should start normalizing to-go boxes.

Leenseoh

funny how you said seokjin looks like a grumpy hamster eating bc that's the animal that 'represents' him lol

moonie ฮตรฏะท

From my experience, people look at you weirdly when you ask for to-go boxes in Korea. I think this is for two reasons. 1. Korea tries to be a very clean country, and so asking for a to-go box is creating waste. This is especially true in cafes if you are going to sit down. For example, if you order a drink at a cafe to go and then sit down, you look like a jerk. 2. If you go to fancier restaurants, you look poor asking for a to-go box. Classism in Korea can be a bit intense sometimes.

Ellie

I am a Korean woman, and I always share food with my friends. I don't share food when I eat with my boss or strangers. But when I eat with my close friends, I usually order various foods and share them. I think it's a cultural thing. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Daybyday

sharing food is def a culture thing too! my asian friends and I always share food and if someone really wants smth else they order it for themselves but we end up sharing it anyway hahah or atleast we offer some. considering we live in Germany it is also not very common here , people here usually order their own dish too. packing leftovers is very common tho, whereas in Korea I've heard that it is considered low class and the waiters will give you an odd look

Alena Sun

omggg yes I'm so happy to watch this season with you <3 can't wait for saturday <3

About your nz culture questions, itโ€™s hard to say - out of all countries, nz is most similar to and closest to australia while canada is most similar and closest to the US. But Vibes wise, I see NZ as being more similar to the UK while Australia is more similar to the US and Canada is in the middle? All 5 countries are very familiar and mutually influenced culturally, but the land size and climate are so different. No idea what Iโ€™m basing that off though ๐Ÿ˜… Taking leftover food home with you is pretty normal in nz, I guess the members didnโ€™t think of that/had plans to cook other stuff for dinner? The currency is the New Zealand Dollar, they definitely got their euros from malta exchanged! It was really fun seeing them explore and travel like this - I think RM said that when he went as a school student, he was on the north island?

CC

Jungkook specifically going up the mountain to bring a chunk of snow down for Jimin is one of the cutest things

You guys should check out this anime: Vinland saga

Son Kame

Just remembered, one of the run bts eps that you can rewatch is ep 131-132 you guys never watched 132, it was one of the first eps you guys watched and you were so lost and did not know any of the boy's personalities at all ๐Ÿ˜† it's actually the first ep you reacted to with suga in it! so I highly recommend you guys rewatch that one.<3

fifi

7:34 my heart broke when you didn't get the carbonara joke lol that means you definitely need to re-watch run eps you watched early on!

Lela

Jungkook had to cover his tattoo during this season so you will see him either have bandages all over his hand to cover them, wearing one glove, wearing washing up gloves when eating

kookmineve

They don't have a budget this time around with two credit cards, they are also free to use their own personal money like for clothes and stuff.

CC

New Zealand is part of the monarchy so weโ€™re heavenly influenced by British food and culture. Asking for take away containers are normal here. But sometimes they charge .25/.50c for the containers. South island is really really beautiful. I reckon the video has colour correction but not too much because NZ itself is already picturesque. And btw, all those Lord of the Rings stuff are in North Island so you wonโ€™t see it here

kazzzaaa

In the Philippines, it is common for the people ask for the "left overs" to be bagged and be taken home. You can ask the servers to pack them or ask for a bag.

jaycee cruz

Another reminder to keep LAW OF THE JUNGLE on your radar. It's an awesome survival show with our lovely Jin.

Infinite Ree

not really but sometimes you just can't eat as much. Even if I'm hungry it's still different day to day. Like one day I can eat a whole pizza and another only half. And sure some restaurants have bigger sizes but I've been to a lot of European countries and the portion sizes are the same as in Germany. I think it's just always been a thing here to avoid food waste. It also doesn't happen every time but it is normal to see

Lela

Jin has been on a survival show before! It's called Law of the Jungle. But yea I agree, a survival style episode for Run BTS would be so fun to watch.

dayani

Itโ€™s pretty common here in saudi arabia

Hadeel

Sure I can see it becoming more common to cut down on food waste.

Camilla

I didn't know that was common in Germany. Your portion sizes must be on the larger size then because I just can't imagine a situation here where there would be much, if any, food to take after eating at a restaurant. Buying food from a restaurant to go, sure but not leftovers. Or maybe I am just completely out of the loop. lol

Camilla

It's becoming more common where I live (Poland) as well. I've seen people encouraging doing it to reduce food waste

morela

it's totally normal here in Germany! I've done it many times and every restaurant has containers for that :)

Lela

I think taking food to go, like in a doggy bag after a meal, is a very American thing. Not saying that it might not happen anywhere else, but it seems to be predominantly done in the US. You have to consider that the portion sizes are usually smaller everywhere else, so there wouldn't usually be any food to take. lol I've certainly never seen or heard of anyone asking to take leftovers home where I live (Denmark).

Camilla

They're selling those cups with the BTS/ARMY logo before. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Lorraine Hernandez

I needed to check if I got the right wine for an event so I opened a bottle and then realised that I am the only one drinking so I of course had to finish it....gonna watch this after an entire bottle of wine so wish me luck ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Disha

In my friend group, I'm toothless, lactose intolerant, allergic to onions and can't handle spicy food ๐Ÿ˜‚ so I tend to just order for myself or I'll eat what I can and give the rest to my friends then eat again at home

Chels

He wore a glove in one hand to hide his tattoos. At this time, JK still need to hide them, it was recently during In The Soop 2 that he was able to show his tattoos.
