comment her since the streamable videos don't have that option. episode 6 Stephie mentions the telephone wires and that probably seemed weird since the rest of the show up to that point was in the boonies so there's no technology out there at that point in time. the Taisho period is right after the Meiji period, which is the westernization of Japan. Taisho goes from 1912-1925. so yeah. there would be cars, rifles, telephone wires and electricity.
