On the time left aspect we know baced on rems thretinig light that despite someone having 20 year's that can shift as part of the threat included change to her clock lights dad would not have been there to be at risk if not for lights desison so the clock is more a prediction baced on current path in life being hard to change without some knowledge of it or someone else interrupting it

2023-08-02 04:59:36 +0000 UTCIt does feel very back and forth in the anime vs Manga because of the director's decisions, but the real Light doesn't care who he has to kill to further his goals. His father and sister were both pawns he was willing to get off the board if he had to. The only reason Light shows any emotion is because the director wanted to give viewers a reason to keep watching without L, but in the Manga the new focal point to replace L is supposed to be the task force. Specifically Light's father and his personal struggle of suspecting his son and his daughter being abducted (which got super downplayed due to the change of lens) and Matsuda's evolving character as well as ex afro guy (sorry forgot his name lol) we're supposed to be seeing them grow as people getting crushed under the pressure of having 3 faceless enemies.. well 4 if you count Misa. Oh and did yall pickup that he was all but rushing his dad to die because he had stuff to do until he realized he could still force his father to damn himself and write Mellos name? The only reason he got as upset as he did when he finally died was because he was pissed that his father would die without writing Mellos name first. π he is truly a disgusting person and it gets more apparent from here.
