loved how guys are trying to figure out things. Its so frustrating the moment we think Light will be caught something bizarre happens. Regarding Misa, she have given up 50% of her life twice however she has also got added the shinigami remaining years to her lifespan twice. Two shinigamis have dies saving her and the remaining of their lifespans have been added to her.
