2023-11-08 20:48:25 +0000 UTCbts members all speak in the most general seoul dialect now, with maybe some additions from their original dialect, it it usual for people to learn and change to the seoul dialect when they move there, people work hard on it, and rm and jin have always spoken the standard korean since they grew up near seoul, if you are ever interested a youtube channel made videos about how each of the members speak

2023-09-26 13:58:59 +0000 UTCAlso I'm enjoying watching this series. V put in the work! I love his Layover album, I heard one of his songs at a coffee shop and it matched the vibe so well. Thank you both for watching this series and Congratulations!

2023-09-26 02:43:14 +0000 UTCTteokbokki is SO good. It's chewy rice cakes in spicy sauce with veggies and eomuk or fish cake slices. Toss in some Gimmari and ramen and you'll be SET. But if you don't like spicy food, good alternate Korean street food is just fishcake with broth or mandu (dumplings).

2023-09-26 02:30:43 +0000 UTClove this

2023-09-24 15:03:02 +0000 UTCYou mentioned Tae's way of speaking and yes I agree! It's very easy to miss it, especially as non-Koreans. There's a "BTS Analyzed" series on Youtube from a creator called "Go Billy" that focuses on how each member speaks and their little mannerisms. @Wes and Steph, you guys might want to check that out! Here's the first one with RM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YOYRVgr9og&t=946s

2023-09-24 13:13:33 +0000 UTCWhen you wanted suggestions for K-Dramas to watch, I suggested Fight for my Way and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. Park Seo Joon is the lead actor in both of them. He is amazing! You should definitely check these out, especially since you'll get to know him through this show. Of course, he also starred in Hwrang with V which is where they became close friends.

2023-09-24 13:12:36 +0000 UTCAlso recommend Train to Busan, where you could see Yumi doing her real job as well haha. Both are very popular Korean films

2023-09-24 09:24:52 +0000 UTCFunny little reference when Woo Shik walked in when they blurred his eyes with the black line. It’s a callback to the movie Parasite, which he starred in (Seo Jun also played a role). I’m sure you guys heard of it, or maybe seen it(?), cus it won an Oscar a few years back. If y’all haven’t seen it, I’d def recommend it if you guys start reacting to movies. You’d get to see these guys doing their real jobs lol.

2023-09-24 09:19:28 +0000 UTCThis show is my wholesome low stakes watch… I find it so relaxing… I love how the Gimbap station stresses you out though. What’s also funny is that every reactor I’ve watched this with starts bringing their own food and snacks after the first couple of eps… lol it’s almost impossible to watch this show and not want to eat, so personally I wouldn’t object to you guys eating as you watch :)… In regards to Tae getting recognised… Seo Jin said in his American forum panel with business leaders in the US (as part of trip with the Korean govt officials) that fans lined up near the restaurant to see Tae etc daily and he was so surprised that in a small rural town Tae was this popular. They didn’t show this on the show though. The fans themselves who went to the restaurant said they were asked to not wear anything that made it too obvious that they were ARMY… like no merch etc and were asked to be very low key in their behaviour and respectful, not to film etc. I love this whole crew so much… also Tae is so softly spoken sometimes it’s easy to miss his adorable little mannerisms… I loved his little my dream is to be a chef… my reality an intern speech. I loved his little comment about wanting to complain anonymously too ( the Korean expression he used was akin to the whistleblowing hotline). When he was being sassy telling Woo Shik about him being senior intern… he was referring to their names alphabetically… that Kim comes before Choi… hence his rank. Also fun fact, the reason they put the lines over Woo Shik’s eyes is to do with his film Parasite and it’s poster etc. The music was its OST too. Thanks for this fun reaction. P.s you can think of Rice cakes in savoury food as akin to Gnocchi in texture and similar in taste soaking up the flavour of the sauce. 💜

2023-09-24 08:21:57 +0000 UTCI can't get enough of this series! Thank you for the reaction <3

2023-09-24 00:35:22 +0000 UTCAlso you guys might be having trouble with the names. Their names are both parts not just one part Woo shik ( new intern) Yu mi ( gimbap) pronounced you-me Seo Jin (Boss) : soh- gin Seo jun (chef) : soh- joon ( like Namjoon) And you know taehyung :)))
I’m Tired
2023-09-23 22:05:20 +0000 UTCThe funny thing about the regional dialects in korea is it might be rare for you guys to hear it since a lot of celebrities kind of “give up “ their accents when they go to Seoul to start their career. It’s kind of normal for all celebrities to start using the like standard Seoul dialect in the professional setting of tv shows and interviews and such though I also believe it has to do with being understood as well cause a lot of different dialects have different meanings and ways of saying things.

2023-09-23 21:37:41 +0000 UTCYour pronunciations are so cute lol. Steph said "bulgogi" correctly the first time. Joon's name is said like June, and then there is Jin. Tteokbokki is tok like token, bok rhymes with tok then i is ee. The vowels are said similar to Mexican Spanish and Japanese. A = ah E = eh I = ee O = oh U = ooh Eo = uh with a bit of oh
