Tae seriously has theeeee best luck, youd think it was rigged lol. add that to his natural skills, his sneakiness and out of box thinking and he really is the best person to have playing games...king of variety shows lol. really kinda felt bad for the other guy or any that is on a show tae. kinda gets outshined unfort, but he was a good sport.

2024-03-31 15:57:49 +0000 UTCTae's brain never ceases to amaze me 😂 he just lives in 4D Also it's so adorable watching Wes give his life and soul trying to pronounce Tteokbokki. 🤣 it's like he's sneezing.. lol but much better now that you know the mechanics. I think all I have left for advice is to not try to punch the word so much. Lol instead of a push, there's supposed to be like.. a small gollatal stop after each syllable. (Gollatal stop as in the freeze in your sound like when you say nuh-uh) that's the sound I think Wes is trying to emulate by aspirating so much, but there is no aspiration in the pronunciation, as Tanny Misser commented. This is really good training for me in studying linguistics btw 😂 there's an extra challenge of not being able to use the jargon, so it's helping me learn how to explain more simply so I get a good fundamental understanding. I also have to think about exactly what is happening in the word which I struggled to do before ☺️

It's romanized ''tteokbokki'' which can make the word look intimidating to pronounce but just knowing the double consonants are non-aspirated and reading it as ''tok-bok-ki'' already gets you pretty far 😁
