Hartford are an absolute dumpster fire man. I thought they’d have a good year this year with some of their off season signings, but it’s just not happening. They signed a guy by the name of Derrick Sheldon. He’s a fantastic player and I’m almost absolutely positive you’ve seen his presence online. He runs a YouTube page called Become Elite with over half a million followers. H’e’s played in New Zealand and Germany internationally and now has, in back-to-back seasons, managed to be a fantastic player on the worst teams in the USL Championship. Man you have no idea how happy it made me to hear that you are enjoying the USLC. I’m a Charlotte FC fan in MLS, that’s been well documented by myself in your YouTube comments and what not, but my real passion is with my hometown Birmingham Legion FC here in the USLC. Yeah teams make a lot of silly mistakes and there can be just some head scratchers at times, but I love it for the same reason why people support National League or EFL2 teams in England. It’s entertaining stuff, it’s community based when you go…you’ll likely know the person you sit next to because you saw them around town before or maybe said hello to them cause they were the cashier when you got your groceries…and many of the players are really young so getting to watch the maturation process of some of the young players and then seeing them be successful at better leagues a few years down the road is so rewarding. Also, according to a website www.globalfootballrankings.com, the USL Championship is ranked as the 30th best league in the world, not 30th best second division or general lower league, the 30 overall best league in the world and the MLS is ranked at 16. The USLC is ranked in front of leagues like the Saudi Pro League, EFL2, Chinese super league, Korea K-League…it’s on par with the Swedish top flight and Italian and German second divisions. I mention that to back up my point that it has quality but also as an argument to show that it is entertaining. I’m so glad that you are starting to see that so quickly. Speaking to the point you made at the beginning of the video about USL vs MLS parody and anyone can beat anyone on any given day, if you look at the total points up and down the eastern and western conference tables, between 3rd and 11th in the west at one point like two weeks ago there was only a seven point difference. It’s almost something similar in the east right now. It’s highly competitive and due to the crowds being smaller, mostly because of smaller venues, home field advantage isn’t as strong which makes it even more unpredictable. MLS is easy to predict on a weekly basis vs the USLC.

2023-07-30 23:51:09 +0000 UTCHartford are a horrendous side. They had a really bright offseason and made some flashy signings such as Hodge and Amoh and Sheldon. But the coach who is a US mens national team and a U.S. soccer legend in general Tab Ramos was sacked. When he was brought in a lot of Hartford fans thought he was their savior. As for San Antonio they’re the reigning champions. Although they lost some key pieces from winning the cup last year they’ve done an excellent job of replacing Patino and Samuel Adeniran(if that name sounds familiar that’s because he plays for Saint Louis City S.C. He was loaned out to San Antonio and then was recalled). They replaced them with guys like Niko Hansen and Tani Oluwaseyi. Their defense is still rock solid and they have the best goalkeeper in the league in Jordan Farr.
