No that isn't what they were saying. they were saying Gabe not getting killed immediately after shooting Sasha was dumb plot armor. Gabi didn't die because they plot needed her to not die.

If the parallel is eren then for example u didn’t see eren just running at the titans with a kitchen knife💀 she got on to an air ship that she knew was full of the enemy with a gun that only shoots once before you have to rack it again that is some moronic stuff she is supposed to be a “trained soldier” and “smart” according to all of the people defending her which is about 4 including yourself because there is nothing to defend

2024-07-06 10:57:05 +0000 UTCI just want to thank you guys for seeing the obscurity in which the author wrote gabi's plot armor, I really really really hate Gabi's character and it's not because she killed Sasha. It's because she got on the enemy's ship with a gun that can only shoot one bullet before having to rack the charging handle again, and she decided it was good idea to get on a ship of 40+ enemy soldiers with that semi-automatic weapon. She was shown to be smart and even Steph was saying she respected her for it but that has to be one of the stupidest moves in anime history. Going off of this animes patterns and how close it has tried to stay to realism, Gabi should've died instantly right after she shot Sasha. No real soldier would let a kid with a gun rack another shot after that, no matter how nice they are. Even you guys were saying how crazy it was gabi was coming back with them. This is one of the biggest cases of plot armor and i never would've expected it from Attack On Titan of all shows.

Reminded me of some of my younger soldiers when I was deployed all full of hate and not understanding the people we were fighting. Plus talking to the civilians in the middle east while sharing meals and stories you learn to be more aware of what you hear about them in propaganda and vise versa. They honestly thought I was some super rich person who comes fights in thier country and then goes home to a huge mansion. If someone says they are going to fight back to defend themselves by attacking first then expect to be killed or people you are close too, to be killed no one is immune to the consequences of war.

I d love to believe I d be able to have his level of understanding in situations like that, but sadly I do agree most of us would be a Floch or Eren and just short-sightedly want to eliminate current threats. Simply put the world needs more Falcos, coz lets be real as long as humans live threats will be ever-present. As of Eren, what made me the most mad, wasnt even the fact he killed civilians, it was rather the fact he put people like Armin into a position to have to kill civilians. We can all to an extent understand the root of his actions but the moment you use your closest people as merely weapons to reach your own agenda...you can t really keep saying you doing it for them anymore, to me this proves Eren is doing this mainly for himself, coz HE thinks it is the right way...and if one thing scares me in real life it is to see a guy with a big ego have a lot of power...pretty sure every war started with one of those.

2024-02-09 05:16:02 +0000 UTCI don’t think Gabbi is like Eren at all, Eren wanted to kill what he thought were monsters that directly killed her mom, Gabbi decided to kill humans even tho she understands they are humans, and don’t get me wrong at the end she’s just a victim of the lies the adults forced her to believe but I truly believe Eren directed his passion in a totally different way. Also I say this every time but I love Eren so much, that has nothing to do with my comment but it felt wrong to not mention it.

2024-02-08 23:02:45 +0000 UTCI love “bad” characters/badass characters 😭 so Eren remains my favourite alongside Levi. I’m very much rooting for Eren. Also, Willy Tybur thought and planned for Eren to attack during his demonstration. He purposely put it in the internment zone to sacrifice innocent Eldians. Eren wasn’t rubbing anything in Reiners face. He said he felt like he had to do this, just like Reiner did. And that he understands him now. Eren is broken. He isn’t taunting. He feels like has to do this even if he doesn’t want to. Same as Reiner. He’s empathizing if anything. Knowing what he’s about to do. And he also caused like 1% of the civilian casualties Reiner did when he attacked Paradis—if even that. Most of the people in the internment zone survived. And a lot of the deaths were military and ambassadors from other countries that Willy wanted to get killed. While you could argue that almost ALL of the people Reiner killed were civilians. Do we forgive and like Reiner because he’s obviously broken up about it and depressed?? Eren is broken up about it and depressed as well? Reiner lied for years to his friends in Paradis and killed them and then lied some more. Eren lied and befriended one kid. And didn’t even kill him🥳 And at least Willy had declared war on Paradis with the backing of every other country before Eren attacked. Reiner attacked a country that wasn’t at war and didn’t even know there WERE other countries. All this is to say, while I like Reiner—I’m gonna have to defend my main guy 😔 no matter how hard Eren makes it. The man’s innocent I swear 👩🏻⚖️ 🤫🫡

Like I think he thought there was a way higher chance that Falco survived that then you think. Also the change in Zeke could be discovering Eren (his brother) existed. He did say he would come back and save him.

2024-02-08 20:48:35 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Gabi is supposed to be a narrative foil to Eren, she's not pleasant on-screen precisely because she displays the same attitude he did, only, she does it against his side. And as far as the animation change... AOT changed studios after season 3, as a manga reader I can say that the style they chose resembles most closely to the way the manga is drawn, other than that, the previous studio that adapted up until s3 also changed some minor stuff from the source material while the new one follows it WAY more closely.
