There are a lot of missed fouls and missed yellow cards. The penalty should have absolutely been a penalty. The referee crew on this game was from Guatemala so in a way it makes sense. If you’ve ever watched Guatemalan soccer, they let a lot go. You’re really gonna have to earn it if you’re gonna get a penalty or even a yellow card. The standards for yellow and Guatemala I would compare to red in most other places. I guess they really believe in letting the game flow. I really did enjoy the atmosphere that this Dominican Republic team could create. I previously explained about the competitions in our region. There’s the Caribbean cup, the Central American cup, the leagues cup, and the champions cup. There’s a lot of incredible little atmospheres that I’ve discovered, watching the Caribbean cup and central American cup. Like I said in my old comment, I believe on the Philadelphia reaction it would be really cool if you could react to those tournaments here on Patreon when they start up in August. Those tournaments serve as the qualification method for central American and Caribbean teams into champions cup.
