I was at this game on Wednesday night. There was a lot of expectation and anticipation for this match. Playing away from Home at the national stadium probably didn’t help, but their new stadium is currently under construction, and therefore the stadium that they are renting is not suitable for international matches as it can only hold 3000 people. This was horrible to watch and having gone to a couple matches of this team over the past few weeks during my trip to Costa Rica this is not how this team plays and not what this team normally looks like. I don’t know exactly what went wrong, but it definitely went very wrong. They definitely overthought the game plan. Also I would not have started 99. He’s normally a substitute during league games, so I have no idea what possessed the coach to start him. Pachuca went right at him, and several of the goals that they conceited came from his side.
