Overlord is pretty good, but the animation in Overlord takes a huge nosedive after season 2 (MY Opinion). Season 1 of Overlord is the strongest, and the rest is good, but not great. The world building in Overlord is excellent though, I will give it that

So much to say on why its such a good story in the same tier of quality writing as Mushoku Tensei... but we'll let you experience it for yourselves. Episode 1 and this world already feels alive. 2024-07-18 12:24:16 +0000 UTCI mean let's be honest, I'm not saying everything else is trash beside these 3, I really enjoyed the eminence in shadow and slime for exemple but when you see all the trash isekais that released every seasons, you understand that these 3 almost carry the genre by themselves. Mushoku tensei and RE ZERO web novel were written almost at the same time and that's when everyone tried to mimic the tropes that these two popularized (and many fails).

2024-07-18 03:46:27 +0000 UTCRE:Zero is one of the best Isekai, with Mushoku Tensei. It's exciting that you're finally watching it (season 3 will air this fall). As you've got it there's a loop concept, but you've no idea yet how it's going to be used in narrative and character development. Worldbuilding is going to take time for you to fully understand it (you're going to have lots of questions, which will be answered later). It's brilliant...and, be warned, emotionally challenging. RE: Zero is a perfect anime for video reactions. It's going to be fascinating! Be sure to watch the director's cut, it's the best way to watch the season 1.
