Thanks so much guys 🥰 really appreciate this , it was so fun re-watching this with you. I feel so proud of Hobi and really love it when people who knew him talk good things about him. Watching him having fun during this entire documentary is so heartwarming, pure sunshine. Really can’t wait for his discharge and what he plans for vol 2 😁

lmao I wanna know what exactly jk did to convince his parents to literally let him leave home at 13 to move to a broke tiny agency in the other side of the country out of all the rich companies that offered to have him 😭

Thanks for watching this documentary. Your reactions to all the dancing was fun. Please as an end cap to this, also watch the Bangtantv video of him recording the album with special guests.

lmao yall questioning what hobi’s parents thought abt him just sleeping at a dance studio was so real because i really do wonder how any of them got permission to just leave to a whole other city far away from their parents at like 13-18 😭 like was it a power point presentation moment or just pleading with their parents to let them go

nfam

Thanks for all of your reactions!!

This was such s fun series. The last episode had to be my favorite. Hearing the other members of Neruon talk about Hobi and reminisce was such a joy to watch. Hearing that Hobi hasn't changed and seeing Hobi smile and laugh so much really had me tearing up. I can't wait for you guys to watch "are you sure?". You guys are going to love it.

For j-hope's promo for Hope On The Street he provided a template and let fans design their own "Hope On The Street" albums and ARMYs from all over the world started putting pictures of people dancing their native or cultural dances from their regions. It was such a beautiful tribute to j-hope's belief that dance unites the world. For Season 2, there are a ton more street styles he can explore--krumping, waacking (which he covered on his pre-debut blog and has expressed admiration for several times), breaking, voguing...so there could easily be a Street Styles part 2 session. Or he could branch out and take on really different styles like latin or tap or modern (he's done a few lyrical hip hop types pieces and he's so good at being fluid, I think he'd kill it), etc. Or it could be really cool to learn a native or cultural dance wherever he travels to. Like tahitian in Tahiti or Flamenco in Spain or Bhangra in India...that would be really fun, too. I hope he continues with the series because the possibilities are endless but I imagine it's hard to make time during regular activities. Anyway, what a great docu-series! :)

Thanks for the reaction! I love this series so much. - "B-boying" and "breakdancing" are basically the same thing. The b in b-boy (or b-girl) stands for breaker/breaking. Breakdancing is just the more mainstream term, I think. - Idk if y'all noticed since the clips were at the end, but the footage of jhope working on the songs outside of HopeWorld* was with Pdogg in the same studio we saw in Jimin's Production Diary. Pdogg was sole producer for all of the new songs on this album except for "lock/unlock" and did the remix of "What If"; GHSTLOOP and Evan did some work on it as well. Crazy to think that they were working on HOTS Vol1 in the midst of FACE and MUSE. It's also funny to see the different vibes when working on different projects in the same space. - Idk about that Eminem parallel, but Tasha (Yoonmirae) definitely can bring power and aggression when she wishes. She's also got a lovely singing voice, as she demonstrates on the hook. I saw someone say she reminded them of MC Lyte and I think that's a really good comparison. I was so happy to hear you talk about how knowing the context makes the song Neuron feel like a homecoming! That's exactly what it's meant to be, I think, a celebration of his roots in both dance and music (Gaeko and Yoonmirae are both artists that he admires; he even performed one of Yoonmirae's songs as part of his audition for Big Hit). Looking forward to Are You Sure? (the first episodes were great) and Run Seokjin! * HopeWorld is the name of jhope's studio and I assume that we're seeing Pdogg work in the Dogg Bounce. Other members with named studios are RM (rkive), Suga (Genius Lab), and Jungkook (Golden Closet, tho I'm not sure if he chose to have a dedicated space for it in the new building). The other members (Jin, Jimin, and V) prefer to use the vocalist workspace and record with Pdogg (who acted as recording engineer for The Astronaut and almost all of Golden).

The neuron episode was my favourite! Just the joy and love seeping through. You asked how old he was - I think he was around 10 when he first started dancing (like school camps and talent shows, he was talking about that on suchwita). In 2008 when he was 14, he won a national dance competition, and in 2010 at age 16 he signed with Big Hit and moved to seoul in december 2010 to join BTS. So, it would have been early teens when he was sleeping in the dance studio? I’m crossing my fingers so so hard for a season 2 💜 Thank you for all your hard and consistent work, I love watching these with you guys!

CC

Loved the hope on the street reactions guys!!!
