the army from the grocery store posted about seeing jimin and jk at her job back in 2023 but nobody believed her because it's a small town in Connecticut so it was so random. But when the show released she came back to X and posted more details about it and people started apologizing for not believing her lol as a mexican, i agree blue corn tortillas/chips definitely taste different than regular corn tortillas. The flavor is more "earthy" , it's from a different kind of corn that grows in different kind of soil after all.

I live in PA, Philly and there’s no plastic bags to be found anywhere anymore. It was a gradual transition tho (over a few years) so that was nice. Now you either bring your own bag or pay $0.10 for a cotton, re-usable bag

I'm in Canada too, western provinces here has no plastic bags. Have to bring reusable or buy a paper bag if you don't another reusable one. My city also has banned all single serve plastics like straws and plastic cutlery

I live in Idaho but visit Utah a lot, so our bags are free (unless you go to Northern Idaho like Boise) and UT make you pay for your bags, which was a culture shock when I experienced it the first time lol

jungkook actually had twinkies in a run episode from 2018 you guys watched awhile ago where the boys went to canada! one of my favorite eps, it was so cute. and the last part of this episode’s trip was filmed in connecticut. it was so interesting to see this part of the country since i’m from the south. it looks so similar to stuff down here especially the place they kayaked and the small towns they drove through. i loved seeing it. i’ve only been as far north as new york haha

i just went on a month long vacation back to the Philippines for a family reunion during July and guys, the sheer amount of mosquitoe/bug bites that i've gotten on a daily basis was insanely frustrating! it wasn't so bad in the beginning because we stayed in the city but when we went to the countryside where we were surrounded by tropical forests, i would wake up with at least 10 on my legs (some of which left dark marks on my skin btw) and a few more on my arms. at one point, i even discovered a bite just below my lower lip after a nap. electric fans and mosquitoe coils were literally my saving grace honestly because my dumb self forgot to buy insect repellant (which was hard to come by in my home town)😭😭

I'm glad the grocery design layout was brought up! I'm a designer but do not dwell in these fields myself but I find these topics interesting - it kind of reminds me of how Costco (at least here where I live) does not have aisle names and numbers and it does purposely let customers roam around the store to "get more" - that's why a rule: do not go grocery shopping when hungry! lol. commenting on the grocery bag thing - I live in Canada (i don't know from any other parts) but from the province I am from, almost all stores are now using reusable bags and like Wesley's mom, we used plastic bags (from when they were still available) as trash bags as well!

yeppo can have different translations. In the context nice or pretty is accurate. In jhopes documentary Kin calls him yeppo as in you’re a good kid, translation says ,admirable, or something. The same was with V’s story with Jk. Jk was yeppo = good, for traveling to meet V not pretty.

This was so fun!! You both have such parent energy, I love it ❤️ I was also really worried about ticks, but he seemed to have been spared that, at least. Idk about south korea, but they’re super common in europe, too. The army tweeted about the meeting! She said she got so overwhelmed she had to sit in the back for 10 minutes and her coworker had to take over. Also, they couldn’t take photos obviously but Jimin gave her a hug off camera. I love that they got excited whenever they were recognised - I’m sure it can be annoying/scary/overwhelming depending on circumstance, but in these contexts they both seemed really happy which makes me glad.

Just to clarify, the show covers 3 trips over 8 episodes: summer in the US and then trips in the fall and winter. (I won't mention the locations in case you want to be surprised.) Wes is correct; they took this US trip between JK's promotions for Seven. They left right after he finished his NYC schedules (several radio shows, then the GMA performance) and afterwards he flew to London for his BBC appearances (while Jimin flew back to SK).

so many of the translations unfortunately throughout are not quite right, for instance at the start of the first episode jungkook is teasing jimin by saying "when you were busy and I was free you didn't call, and when I was busy and you were free you didn't call", but the subtitles had it incorrect, also anytime the subtitles has it saying "youth" they're actually saying "romance", similarly when Jungkook is saying to jimin he looks "pretty" the subtitles write "nice", this carries on in the third episode when there's lots of times it says V is saying something to Jimin but its actually Jungkook, talking about the third episode and the Jeju part the vibes of the show are going to completely change in that episode, it goes from the cute travel show every day life to more of a run bts style episode, I think the addition of a third person did that too, I do feel like it should have been a separate thing, but I assume since he only knew about it and decided to come 2 days before they left, they had Jeju already planned out, and you can tell the activities they had planned were all catered to Jimin and Jungkooks interests, and the fact they had 2 of everything, so I think the Jeju section as a whole will feel quite different, but then hopefully when it goes back to Japan it will return to the soft domesticness of the first 2

Jungkook has tried Twinkies before guys. I distinctly remember this lol. We first saw him buy them in RUN BTS ep. 69 that one episode when they went to Canada and saw Niagara Falls. When they were grocery shopping , I remember him talking about Zombieland while he was searching the store for them. He was just saying that he WAS able to try them back then bc he’s in BTS.
