I think Annie's father made her train like that for HER survival. Not how she thinks he wanted a better life. This show is good at making us perceive things the way the characters do, only to show us the bigger picture later and making us realize how we viewed them was wrong. In other words, the "narrator" is extremely untrustworthy in this show lol

And I agree, Erwin mightβve agreed with Eren. Floch trusted Eren as he saw the potential devil in him like he saw in Erwin. They have a similar mindset.

Is work genocide wrong, well of course it is but in this situation it can be justified. Only problem would be that someone will have to die in 13 years because of the curse of Ymir but I would have elder people take over the power and so on.
