About Aisha washing Rudy's back: yes, it's cultural. It's commonplace and harmless for Japanese people to bathe together; whether at home or in public baths (where all clothing is forbidden, including bathing suits. Only small towels provided by the establishment are allowed). Bathing culture is extremely important in Japan for a whole host of reasons, including family ties, social ties, well-being etc... And of course it has no sexual connotations whatsoever. No more so than our beaches, where everyone is practically naked. About Aisha and Norn, here again, Mushoku Tensei's writing is pretty accurate on complicated family situations. The light novel is more detailed on this too.

Aisha was upset because in her mind, she studied hard for weeks to get a good score to get her way, but Norn got her way without putting in the effort. In Aisha's mind, Norn doesn't TRY to do good at anything. But still gets everything she gets with all the effort she puts in. Also, Norn's Gma is a huge B****.

Hopefully they can fully resolve it, no idea where the stories going to go at this point though - we've been slice of life for ages now (which I don't mind, anyway).

Yes Aisha got her way too, but she's arguing that she got her way because she got results, while Norn didn't get results and still gets her way. From her perspective this is reinforcing that she is somehow "lesser" because she is only his half-sister, which is why she got upset.

She basically threatened to give Eris "a piece of her mind" if she ever met her. To which Rudeus responded by begging her not to because if nothing else Eris is an incredibly skilled swordsman.
