The teacher did not know Killua and gon enough to teach them as he stated previously that he cannot teach this method to anyone because they could use it against the helpless or regular people for bad intentions, so I do not agree that the teacher could’ve taught them sooner cause he did not know them and their intentions. he didn’t know what they would use it for if he taught it to them. They’re also not his student so it’s not his responsibility to teach them. I’ve watched hxh before so this is just a little more insight on why he didn’t teach them sooner.

Also, yes, those three guys are there to show what can happen if you try to fight on the 200th floor without knowing anything about Nen but still manage to survive "the Greeting". That's why Wing decided to teach them as soon as he saw that they had reached the 200th floor, and Hisoka didn’t let them pass.
