Hunter X Hunter Episodes 40 & 41

Comments

i think the Phantom Troupe is like a force of nature. Its here to pass and leave nothing behind. reclaim all that they were feel was taken from them in the past.

Tiya Delih

Does anyone have a link for episodes 40?

Rio Pascua

It's easy to forget all the Nen rules if you're a first time watcher. It's the reason they explain it in the beginning every time during the Heaven's Arena arc, but most people skip it because they watched it already.

Mario Prime Plays

Also Pokkle passed the exam. Leorio passed the exam. There are known "weak" characters that are hunters. We can't compare everyone to Gon, Killua, Hisoka, Kurapika, they're the creme of the crop.

Haha I never noticed!!

😂😂

Wes And Steph

definitely not the biggest one.

Calt Being

Guess who in the Phantom Troupe sounds like Thorkell?

Rare

Cyber-Chase?

Hanan Haliru

I dont understand why people get confused when its really simple. Conjurer = create physical object Manipulator = manipulate already existing object Transmuter = create aura-based non-physical object, bungee gum, nen stitches, and killua's power (wont spoil, but they already know he's a transmuter)

sometimes when i play fortnite i act like the bots just to keep em on their toes

Bambi

I ship them too

Chideraa Udegbulem

the spiders are finally here lesgooo

Melody is not weak. You can see it in the mansion fight scene. She is a competent fighter, definitely above average human. She just doesn't have a combat-oriented power, and barely fights in the story. And I don't want to get into spoilers, but you'll learn that she might be stronger in the past.

Runhua Tang

I need 10 ep every week from you guys😭

UrPapiKeith

38:38 "it's not leorio is it" lol, it's sort of like jar jar was a sith lord theory. And I ship Machi and Hisoka.

kinetic98

How did Melody survive the hunter exam? Or can somebody be a hunter without passing the exam like the dog owner turned dog guy

kinetic98

Yeah, and then the Conjurer vs Specialist thing can be even more hard to differentiate imo. Like Conjurers generally train to create a specific item and then tack on additional effects like Basho's haiku notepad that he conjures and then infuses with nen to give the ability of "what is written on this becomes reality." Meanwhile Neon's nen is actually a Specialist thing because she didn't train to make some creepy ghost thing, she instead just really wanted to become a fortune teller and that ability just happened to manifest as some creepy nen ghost thing. So the difference seems to be mostly based on intent and training rather than how it functions

Cyberchase is the PBS show

Btw that guy is completely right. It would be just stupid to worry about who potentially would commit to an attack, its actually dangerous and may cause you to concern yourself with that "perpetrator" too much and then you miss the signs that you will be attacked by something completely different then you originally thought

Carl Carlsonn

yo 39:39 never noticed Neon has a Puu keychain on her phone (lil blue bird mf from yuyu hakusho)

Sizzled-Cherry

Wouldnt say that

It's not always clear-cut the first time you see someone using an ability. You can learn Nen from other categories, even if it's not your natural affinity. A prime example would be Kastro: he was an Enhancer but also used Conjurer and Manipulator skills. You also have to pay attention to certain details sometimes. For instance, with Kastro creating his Double, it was a Conjurer skill. On the other hand, when the sideburns guy "created" his Nen minions, it was apparently purely Manipulator based. For me, the difference is that Kastro created an actual "human" being, while the sideburns guy merely shaped his Nen into a "human" form inside the cloth suits and controlled them that way. I can understand why people might think it's one or the other.

The GOAT has arrived.

The divination with writing is called Psychography. You essentially use it to commune with spirits (not angels or demons but I suppose it depends on who you ask) and it can be a powerful tool outside of divination. If you meditate while doing it, it can help source out problematic core issues in your thinking and help you articulate what you're feeling. I used to be skeptical of it or any other kind of tool that can be manipulated by the user, but I have an incredible yet eery experience where my mentor wrote "ivory elephant" and the flight code of a certain entry in my gandfather's flight journal one Samhain celebration when I was honoring him as he had just died. The entry was identical and the notes described that that was the trip he was gifted the ivory elephant carving sets he left for me, by the indigenous people. They said the spirit of the elephant would protect him, so he kept one of the elphants in his pocket. Apparently there was something wrong with the plane that made him need to make an emergency landing, but the way things were going, he didn't believe he'd make it, so he asked the elephant to get him home safe and he wrote that it felt as if a big wind picked up the plane and guided his landing to be safer than it was about to be, so he thanks the ivory baby elephant and promises to join conservation efforts. It's just one of those stories that make your hair stand up, you know? 😅 sometimes people say I'm contradicting myself because I am a science buff who doesn't believe in what I can't see, but I'm also a pagan and practicing witch (seiðkona, not wiccan) and it's just those little big moments where something happens in your life that feels too magical to leave room for doubt. I get a few moments like that, so I've just learned to always leave room for doubt and for belief, because sometimes those kind of things can surprise you if you let it happen

Yes! And the character he voices in Haikyuu, Miya Atsumu (who called Kageyama a goody two-shoes), was also just introduced in today’s reaction. It’s actually a funny coincidence. Plus, he’s also Okabe in Steins;Gate - he’s everywhere!

Rockycitygirl

Transmuter youre changing the properties of your aura, so Hisoka changes his aura into gum. Conjurors are more like summoners, they summon something that they think of, like a sword or Kurapika’s chains. Manipulators are manipulating things with their aura, so the twirly sideburns guy is manipulating the hooded back clothes into the shape of humans and giving them directions. Hope this helps explain it a bit better with examples.

BTW hunter x hunter and death note have the same composer so thats probably why you like the music so much

Jonesy

Yes the phantom troupe! My favourite villains in the series, I can't wait!

Josh Ashford

@51:03 You’re right, Levi was based/inspired off of him! Also another fun fact, the leader of the Phantom Troupe’s JP VA is the same as Light/Kira! He’s name is Miyano Mamoru and is one of my favourite male JP VA!

Mikki

One of my favorite little things about HxH that doesn’t really matter is how Gon never changed clothes but Killua is a fashionista that’s always wearing something different. 😂

The Anime Dude

misspelled

DcT

so this is episode 40 and 41 and they misspelled it or they just forgot episode 40?
