2025-01-28 04:20:59 +0000 UTCWhile I also saw this the first time and thought Sirius was likely Fortuna, I actually never saw the elf ears... lol I guess one theory I would have for Fortuna being Sirius would be that maybe Gluttony ate her memories of Emilia and the elves and left her obsessed with Betelguese (who was driven mad by Pandora), but it also doesn't explain how she just survived having a whole blown through her? Maybe necromancy or something? I don't know, but looking forward to the reactions coming up!

2025-01-26 23:44:59 +0000 UTCThe one clarifying statement I'm going to give since you seem to be mixing things up: "Mother Fortuna would have to be 400 years old - elf" > She would have to be 100 years old, the events we saw with Emilia and Regulus were from 100 years ago. We also don't know when the Witch of Wrath came to be. One of the biggest fan theories is that Minerva (Witch of Wrath) is Emilia's mother due to the care, crying and way of speaking during the trial. Apologies for being explicit here, but when S2 was coming out the author released an official "boob size" list for the girls in Re Zero too and Emilia is one of the largest, you may have noticed that in season 3 she is drawn to have a larger chest than in S1/2 this being to correct for mistakes in the past (current Emilia is how big she should be). We know Emilia is the daughter of a witch. The "child-like" witches are probably out of the question, Satella is out of the question since she's a half-elf and Emilia's mother is human (since her father was a full-elf). This leaves: lust, sloth, wrath and greed. Lust seems unlikely, no major connection, the remaining 3 are reasonable body type matches to Emilia, but Sloth seems unlikely since she had the least focus of any witch last season. Echidna could be likely given the way she acts towards Emilia, yet also doesn't seem to be the case (2nd most probable candidate). Minerva however, Fortuna while dying says "my brother's wife will be very ANGRY" < an interesting choice word. We also know Emilia got her hair from her father which indicates her mother's hair wasn't white.

2025-01-25 14:52:14 +0000 UTCOne other thing I had just noticed after rewatching this with yall is that Sirius has the same little talking quirk as Puck where Puck would sometimes say stuff like “well you’re pretty strong, for a girl” (when fighting Elsa) and then Sirius said “but you’re a boy so you mustn’t cry so much”. There’s a lot of coincidences like that which seem to connect Puck and Fortuna and Sirius I guess but what’s throwing me off though is her eye shape not being like Fortuna’s mean eyes but instead similar to how Fortuna said Emilia got her eyes from her mom. Either way Tappei might be a genius

2025-01-25 12:17:55 +0000 UTCI do agree with your theory Wes, the archbishop of Wrath is for sure Mother Fortuna, the fact that she is an elf with the same eye color and hair color as Emilia AND that she has some sort of relationship with Petelgeuse as they share a surname both being Romanée-Conti. We saw in Emilia's past that the witch factor of Sloth turned Petelgeuse insane, maybe the same happened with Mother Fortuna? Even though we did basically see her die, her being covered in bandages makes me think for sure someone decided to save her right before she actually died and give her the witch factor of Wrath which made her crazy like Petelgeuse.

Young Emilia canonically did not see much of Regulus at all outside of his introduction and a bit of him attacking, and considering Puck undoing his contract with Emilia led to her memories flooding back to her and her having an identity crisis, it's a perfect storm for Emilia to forget Regulus or not have a strong impression of him when she was still trying to process all her memories at the time, It's been canon that regulus looks and clothes are so bland that he's basically an background Character that you won't remember in the light novel. That's why she didn't recognize him in this episode directly. P-S : they made him very outstanding looking in the anime because it's anime

That was such a brutal death that its understandable that he'd still have PTSD from it even after successfully destroying it. Tappei does the psychological aspect of his character writing very well. Treating Subaru's trauma from his deaths seriously and not something that disappears from the plot after its dealt with. We also see this in Garfiel's character too. Killing Elsa for sure was a badass moment.. but I'm sure it still did some damage and traumatised him. 3. Thanks especially for this information! Without it, I was struggling to understand Heinkel's grudge against his father. I had a feeling it had something to do with his mother being killed, but knowing that info gives greater context. This family drama definitely is MESSY.

As you know, a year has passed since the events of the sanctuary (arc 4), and this new adventure in Priestella begins (arc 5). Many things have happened; as you see, Subaru is already starting to have relevance in the world, although he doesn't see himself that way. While everyone sees him as a future hero, he belittles himself. In the novel this is a point that is developing, unfortunately, in the anime they don't touch on it much. 2. Since Beatrice became Subaru's spirit, she is always with him. This past year they have practiced as a team, and as y'all realized, she is always with Subaru (it's a nice relationship without anything malicious). Beako does this to calm him down. Many times, Subaru wakes up scared, saying that they are chasing him, that they are killing him, that they are stabbing him, or when it gets worse, he screams desperately saying, "Get them out! They are inside my stomach! They are eating my flesh! They are in my brain!" (We know where this trauma comes from.). Beako calms him down, caresses him, and heals him. . 3.- Something they didn't say is that Heinkel Reinhar's father was the captain when there was the kidnapping of a girl in the royal family, and Wilhelm commanded this search. Who was supposed to lead the first slaughter of the white whale was Heinkel, but he took his mother, Theresia, out of retirement and put her in charge of this (and this is where she dies). He practically sent his mother to her death. 4. There are small 4-minute segments called Re Zero Break Time in this season that are linked to the main story, yall should watch it too because there are some clarifications of the story.

Like Subaru said, "I'll make a strong enough impression on you to last several life times!" or something like that. That's the "personality flip" I was talking about in my previous comment. She went from a full tsundere character (unwilling to admit she likes him), to a full deredere charcter (lovey-dovey) 😂 I've literally never seen that happen with any other tsundere. Usually, tsundere characters stay somewhat tsundere even after they warm up to the person they like. But this is just a complete character flip, and the best part is it's completely justified, since she spent 400 years in loneliness.

He's his father's son after all remember. They're both ripped. However sadly in this world of Re:Zero, it pretty much means nothing. In a world of magic and swordsmanship, Subaru is the weakest of the weakest. But still good on Subaru I guess 😄
