2025-02-01 16:13:40 +0000 UTCI think the witch that is trapped is Typhoon, (Pride), if there isn't an archibishop of Pride, could it be because the Witch of Pride's body is trapped and the witch factor didn't have anyone else to "Jump into" like Sloth did to Subaru? Imagine if whomever finds it just instantly gets the Authority of Pride! It couldn't Envy because it took the Sword Saint, a Sage and the Dragon to seal her, it is a known story so them not knowing who this city's trap was for would be weird

Remember Betelguise, he was able to share his authority with his fingers, while not covered by the anime but the novels, this came at the cost of the effectivness of the authority. Giving this context, a witch or a witch factor holder does not need to be dead in order to allow others to use them. This is as far as i can go without taping into spoilers.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, I might be mistaken here, but I thought that was like a single discreet power and the archbishops were only able to get those powers because the witches who held those authorities died. Like how the sloth witch factor went into Subaru only after Betelgeuse died. But again, maybe I'm wrong here. But IF I'm right, then since Satella is still alive and holds the envy witch factor, Subaru shouldn't be able to have it simultaneously. I DO think Satella is somehow granting Subaru to be able to kind of borrow or otherwise utilize her power, but idk if I'd consider that the same thing..

It wasn't just regular training or like the Saitama workout or something (albeit, I'm sure that is a factor, but there are many other knights that would probably be at the same level as Reinhardt, like Julius for example, but they weren't divinely blessed and will never measure up to him in the same way).

2025-01-30 04:09:16 +0000 UTCYeah I'm pretty sure the archbishops can only be considered "archbishops" because they have the power, or "authorities," of their respective sin. They're basically just re-branded witches honestly, at least that's how I interpret it (albeit it is all a little confusing so I might not be totally correct). Without that authority they hold, they're not archbishops. And since the witches were the ones that held the authorities before, the archbishops only were able to get those authorities after the witches died. If the Witch of Envy is still alive, then theoretically she still holds the authority of envy, meaning there shouldn't be anyone else who can claim that authority and call themselves an archbishop representing Envy. I don't believe even Subaru can be considered an archbishop representing Envy. If anything, since he holds the authority of sloth in him, he'd be closer to being the sin archbishop of sloth. But the missing seat of Pride and the assumably missing authority of pride is really interesting and I can't wait to find out more about what that's all about!

Gar’s older sister is named Frederica. Idk Fred’s older sister’s name, but if it’s anything close to Garfiel, makes you wonder if that was like a subconscious remembrance of some kind from the mom when she was naming her newer kids. Either way, my heart breaks for Gar. He’s handled it well tho. 😭

The amount of death in arc 6 is more than all arc 1-5 and has some off the most horrific ones in it, so good luck 🤞😉

Surely there are, but I guess they weren't in this city. But they probably should've been considering its importance... Al? being Garf's dad. They have the same dialect (good ear, Wes) and like to use the more "gangster" ver. Of "brother/sister" (Aniki/Aneki) then the top thing, I think their fight styles match when you see it. Besides, Al is one huge mystery that doesn't feel like it's done randomly or from laziness. Plus the scars on his arms make me think of Garf's tiger. Yep, I'm throwing my chips down on this one lol Also my theory about haunting Elsa, I think it's because he bit her, her blood lives inside him now. Also 100% sure Sirius is a reanimated Fortuna. And finally! This is where I was starting to think that the witches, witches cult, and so on aren't actually a unified faction. The only people actually getting things done aren't even from this city. You'd think, if there are beings in this world so powerful they can just walk into a rich fortified city like this, they'd have some of the best fighters and magicians to protect it. Like in Mushoku Tensei, great and rich countries, families, organizations, all have some of the most legendary people in the world backing them, either because they get paid, or they swore their allegiance to them. Especially if this place is important enough to make this many bishops come here.

For Envy, it is very likely that Subaru has that witch factor giving his authority and connection to Satella. There are things about Beatrice and the contract between her and Subaru that got cut out at the end of Season 2 and they have yet to address those things, they should do that this season and if not then i'm gonna cover those specifics at the end of the season because they are essential to the understanding how Beako and Subaru operate together.

He chose to find ways to help the people he loves through means other than his own death (so no more suicide and similar actions). This is an almost impossible decision to make because navigating this story and its dangers is already difficult enough, even when using Return by Death without restrictions. However, trying to get through Re:Zero without relying on it too much is a formidable task. This change of mindset from season 1 is highlighted extremely well in Season 2 through the dialogue in the episode "A Straight Bet": Roswaal: You expect to fulfill your desire without letting go of anything? (He implies that Subaru should treat his life as a disposable tool with no value, prioritizing the lives of others over his own.) Roswaal: Not only that, but you insist on including me in the foundation for the future? Roswaal: You are aware, are you not, Subaru? Subaru: Of what? Roswaal: Of the sheer greed of this solution. This conversation perfectly illustrates Subaru's newfound resolve: to value his life as much as he values others, to love himself as much as he loves those around him, and to protect his own life as dearly as he protects others. If he had done so earlier, he would have noticed that others actually liked him as much as he did, but he undermined the value of his life so much to get through all the hardships he faced (especially in season 1 and beginning of 2) that it made him blind to this simple truth.

Both never seem to have checked for her or their kids. What if they were both abusive or worse? Frederica said in season 2 that their mom never had good luck with men. So what if making her remember would wake up those painful memories as well? Even if one of them was good or at least indifferent, making her remember she left her kids for that long, and also abandoned her quest for her husband, which she was about to go on to seems cruel. So yeah, I'm with Garf here - better not stir up a hornets nest, as painful as it is. PS: Mimi is a real one. I'm glad she was with Garf there. And I think, when his mom came as they talked to the husband, she sensed that Garfield was about to break down and quickly took him away. 55:37 I didn't notice that with the speech pattern. Now that is a wild theory - and I'm all for it! 1:00:28 It's the name of the country they're in.

I don't see an issue with holding off on them now. Loved hearing the theories this episode, Al is Garf's dad was a fun one, they do have similar vibes.

Regulus Corneas feels like the scumiest character to me because he seems "sane" when doing horrible things, well you'll see more of him but I still don't have a good read on him since we know basically nothing about him.
