2024-09-26 11:48:55 +0000 UTCThis show has always been about balance. Mob, in the beginning, was completely terrified of using his powers, and so completely shut them off. We see this problem was rectified when he used them for a silly prank with the cake. However, he doesn't want to go to the other side of the spectrum and use them as a crutch for everything like the Claw members used to. And we see he hasn't become that when he didn't use his powers to rescue the cat. He didn't need to. He was physically fit enough to help it without telekinesis.

2024-09-22 00:41:03 +0000 UTCThe series finishing on the shot of Mob laughing for the first time in the entire show was the perfect way to end it in my opinion. It perfectly incapsulates how much everybody has grown throughout the series. I don't think another episode would have helped.

2024-09-22 00:34:40 +0000 UTCMy interpretation of this final episode was that the final message regarding “growth” (a central theme) is that acceptance is a prerequisite to love, and so ending the journey with mob accepting himself holistically allows him to begin actually developing self love. This helps with his personal growth as well as strengthening his interpersonal relationships, which was his goal all along. I think the development of mob as a person throughout all 3 seasons was very well executed and your insights were also very appreciated :) I agree that I kinda wished for an episode dedicated more to a slice of life type of vibe to round out the ending (similar to the final episode of it’s okay not to be okay) but maybe that’s just me being selfish and not wanting it to end 😂

2024-09-12 17:18:24 +0000 UTCManga made it more clear but it was him who stopped the cake with his powers, the reason he didn't use the power to help the cat is because he didn't need the powers to help it due to his training at the body improvement club, it's not that he doesn't use them it's that he uses them when he needs to

2024-09-12 03:00:10 +0000 UTCTo me the accepting thing wasn't just about his powers it was the side of him that holds all his emotions and the wanting to be accepted as well being not wanting to be ruled by them both the emotions and powers which his life up to that point was. The bit with the cat and the following bits shows that harmony where he can comfortably not use his powers for everything but can fully accept and feel his emotions laughing in a mirrored form from near the start with the cult the cult of strangers trying to force him to laugh him feeling nothing compared to now with friends just enjoying the moment.
