2024-11-15 11:34:50 +0000 UTCoh and regarding Tendou, i get it, but the guess monster is a persona 😭 that's why he's seen as nice to Ushijima and honestly the whole team even if he teases them, because that's him as a person, but he loves being the guess monster because since he was bullied for it, he embraces the nickname on the court. Kind of like an "i'll show you a real monster" thing, so you can say who he is on the court and to opponents is more so a performance of sorts than himself

2024-11-15 09:41:41 +0000 UTCwe do get a bit more of their friendship in the manga, but the Shiratorizawa players ARE Ushijima's friends, actually! all the third years (Tendou, Reon who is #4, Semi Eita who is #3, and the libero Hayato who is #14) all call Ushijima by his given name, and between themselves they also refer to each other as their first names, and to the juniors too. they just cut out a lot of Semi and Reon from the anime adaptation, but they're probably one of the closest teams in the series. and the reason the dynamic works so well is because almost everyone on the team has some sort of personality flaw that'd make them outcasts elsewhere, but in Shiratorizawa they genuinely do like and accept each other. Ushijima is stoic and likes his space, Tendou is.... quirky lol, Shirabu (#10) can be quite mean, Semi (#3) is hot tempered and loves attention, Taichi (#12) is lazy (he gets cut a lot from the anime too), Goshiki (#8) is very childlike. these could be seen as flaws, but they accept each other and enjoy each other's company. that's why the third years are all sitting together at lunch during the flashback too, tho Reon and Semi had more lines during that scene in the manga than they do here in the anime

2024-11-15 09:29:50 +0000 UTCNot that it matters anymore, I'm left handed and realized very early on that most things are made for right handers. So to make left handers feel more included there was a company that had a store in my old mall with stuff specifically for left handers. Note books, coffee mugs, scissors. All sorts of stuff. I started buying from them for a long time when I was a kid. But needless to say they went out of business eventually, which made me sad.

2024-11-15 01:24:31 +0000 UTCThe part where Tsukki gets injured is translated weirdly and misleading: The point was overruled NOT because it “touched the line”, it was overruled because it touched the blocker’s hand. The ball itself didn't “cut” Tsukki. The force of Ushiwaka’s hit dislocated Tsukki’s pinkie so much that the webbing teared :)
