Fun fact: Togashi was studying to become a teacher in university. Although he gave up on his dream to become one, I think his training in university rubbed off on his work as a mangaka, especially in HxH. He teaches nen so well to the audience. In the intro we see razor demonstrating what's very obviously an emitter technique, and then the rest of the episode, one of the highlights is Gon training his emitter technique. Nen is explained so well in this manga/anime. Credits to studio Madhouse too. If the exact same power system with all its details were handed to an inferior author and an inferior anime studio, it could have easily be convoluted and hard to understand for the audience.
