I think you're just used to Okabe and Kurisu's usual relationship dynamic that its hard to realise she is ALSO a polite person in general. With how Okabe usually was like.. it makes sense that a normally polite person like Kurisu would show a more aggresive side when around Okabe 😂 as much as I love him as an entertaining character with his mad scientist persona, I'd be so emotionally drained if I knew him in real life. The only reason we don't see much of that side of her in the original series is cos its Okabe and Daru she's usually around. I'd be sick of their shit too lol. She mostly shows her polite and softer side with Mayuri. Its only when she saw a vulnerable and caring side to Okabe that she warmed up to him later.
