When she's at Greed's home, she doesn't react to him asking if she's a virgin because she doesn't understand the context, only that he's being slightly creepy about his delivery and her being naked.

I'm pretty sure he was one of the hostages, and he's the type to save strangers cuz he stopped and dug out momma from the wreckage of her cart. Also, was there confirmation on Wrath being Fortuna? Because I'm 100% it's her and that she was probably brought back from the dead 🤔 maybe the death God they mentioned. Cuz there's something she said (I forgot now) that made me feel like she is like Frankenstein monster. Like the was put together and brought back.. wasn't it like "he (Juice aka Geuse) made me" or something? Ya'll.. 😵💫 there's just too much information from this show I'm trying to piece together. I can't believe we didn't realize 😂 didn't he say at one point about he used to play hero? Or he eluded to having done something of the sort? I may be confusing things now, but if he had been an isekai, it means he also would've tried being a hero too right? Maybe he hides his face cuz he'd be too recognizable, standing out as a Japanese man, and maybe he failed whatever he was doing? Or, he got messed up badly, cuz he has those scars on his arms. He also seems to know the cult, so he could be hiding his face so they don't find him....... 😳 oh! Here's a wild idea.. they said the seat of pride was empty. They asked Subaru if he was pride. I assumed he was and doesn't know it yet, but what if they were told that pride is a Kararagi looking man (Japanese) and it's Al?!?! 🤯

It feels sometimes like they want the characters to sound cool instead of just translating. For example, translating "so desu ne" into "I'm down with that." They cant even use the excuse of "mouth flops" for that one.

There are also other names used from classic space movies (80's 90's) that I have found. The ones I cannot find any links to are the candidates.

2025-02-06 20:52:43 +0000 UTCYou guys are slightly misinformed. "Little girl user" is the correct and quite literal translation of Subaru's nickname, 幼女使い (youjo tsukai). It doesn't sound quite as strange in Japanese because it sounds the same as something like "sword user" or "magic user", but it's still bad enough to annoy Subaru. Basically it connotes someone who uses little girls as a weapon, or tames them like snakes or beasts or something. I feel like the English version has a bit of a "predator"-esque feel which isn't in the original Japanese, but "Lolimancer" is just plain wrong because the word "loli" is not present in the original phrase. "Loli" is a word that nobody in re:zero except Subaru knows or uses. I have seen some fan translators use "Lolimancer" as a joke, not because they think it's actually accurate. I will agree that "waifu" is a terrible translation of 俺の嫁, though there are some who seem to unironically think otherwise, I believe this is also due to being misinformed. The humorous/cringy nature of 俺の嫁 just amounts to something like "Emilia is my girl!" and is still a form of Japanese that regular people use, so it makes no sense to translate it into some ridiculous meme word that is only used in subculture.

Beatrice lets Subaru call her Beako because of their bond and has come to like it, as she used to be annoyed in the mansion when he did back in S1.

Loli shouldn't have been translated to "little girl" as that's not what that means and carries a weird implication. They also made Subaru call Emilia his "waifu" which is not at all what he says in Japanese. There's more too and it's frustrating. That's a huge part of why I don't use Crunchyroll anymore, on top of them monopolizing and corrupting anime as a whole...

2025-02-06 10:01:36 +0000 UTCAn interesting thing to note as well, Subaru is the Japanese name for what we'd call the 7 sisters--the tight cluster of 7 stars at the butt end of the constellation of Taurus. And Aldebaran is the name for the brightest star in the constellation of Taurus, at the tip of the bull's left horn. So there might be a clue to their connection in their names! Although that said, there are at least a few other characters named after stars too, most: Betelgeuse, Sirius, and Regulus being the most prominent ones I can think of off the top of my head. So maybe the author just really likes using stars for names lol. Although Betelgeuse and Sirius are also closely related stars, Betelgeuse being the brightest star in the constellation of Orion and Sirius being the bright star following a little below and behind Orion and often depicted as Orion's dog companion. And we're thinking that Betelgeuse and Sirius might have hidden connection to each other (IF Sirius turns out to really be Mother Fortuna). But idk. I might just be really reaching to find some kind of pattern or meaning in their names that simply isn't there... lol

They revealed Al in break time, they showed Hoshin in a chibi comedy kids movie, and there's also some more random lore drops in a cards thing and a mobile game. They’re all extremely psychotic. Additionally a lot of them love repeating words in funny ways that become scary as hell in context Fun fact - Julius calls Subaru Lolimancer instead of little girl user in the light novel

I don't know if I'm quite sold on the theory myself, but I wouldn't rule it out of possibility either. Definitely worth keeping in mind if you ask me.

Doubt they'd get Aoi Koga for a minor character. Although, after looking a little, she was also Tanjiro's little brother in Demon Slayer, and well... He didn't exactly stick around very long. So maybe she won't stick around very long, after all. I'm hoping all the wives get more screen time, though. Feel like they need to build a rehabilitation center for them, lol.

For me, Its either this theory or Al is Subarus actual brother cause in the parent episode Subarus dad or Subaru did mention something along the lines of “Eldest Son”. Maybe that the mom was pregnant during the disappearance of Subaru. But idk cause, he’d be just an infant. Maybe the two worlds time dont work the same; al was born later, isekaid earlier. Once again no basis for that. WHO THE HELL IS AL 😭

Just for context, in the Light Novel , the fact that Al is also a Japonese was revealed in the equivalent of season 1, when we first meet him. But it was cut from all anime versions , probably because they thought it wouldn't be relevant... Now for a bit of mind f*ck... if Al can be Subaru or A Subaru through time travel shenanigans, then what if Subaru is Hoshin , the founder of Anastasia's birth country, a country that apparently has a lot of similitudes to Japan through culture, accent and architecture... Great Reaction , it's always a pleasure when i see a notification from you guys, especially a Re:zero one! I should have watched these earlier, but I didn't know they were a thing until you two started watching them 😅. Damn, I know something was up with Al, and I was considering that option before watching this. But to actually hear it is crazy. Heck, I even thought of Wes' 'loop gone awry' theory before (but I thought it was a little too wild 😂). Though my theory is, that Al was someone who visited the room in the past and tried (and failed) to connect with her. So that's why he said, he knew that all too well. Or maybe he's talking about something similar, with a haughty person only allowing someone to use a special nickname for them (like the princess candiate?!). He's intriguing - I want to see him fight now.
