Hunter X Hunter Episodes 46 & 47

It's so funny to me that the show never explains WHY it's called Emperor Time because it was only explained in the current manga arc which has been on and off hiatus for over a decade.

2025-08-02 15:41:13 +0000 UTCI usually get Transmuter or Conjurer. Funnily enough one power I considered would be completely doable with both classifications. If I'm going basic I'm transmuting my aura into ice, but I would want to actually understand Thermodynamics to cause cell death and get around the people who go "The cold doesn't affect me". I had the brutal idea of how insanely screwed up it would be to transmute my Aura into absolute zero and then blow into someone's eyes to instantly freeze and kill them. Contact with my aura would likely instantly freeze any body part to the point of no repair and would be very easy to take opponents down without much effort. However the other idea I had that I definitely put more thought into would be "Great Fog: White Leech" the idea could work in either category, either transmute the aura or conjure the fog. I would manipulate it similarly to Morel, but with the added property of it feeding on other people's Nen to self perpetuate. Functioning akin to a Nen exorcism but on a person's entire aura eating away at it which means it's a poison that affects lifeforce. So it would function as offense, defense, and utility with itself and extremely dangerous for others to inhale. Weakness is very clearly a huge difficulty with friendly fire and collateral. I have put far too much thought into this ability since I was in college. If I ever got powers I'd want something versatile so I tweaked this idea.

2025-08-02 15:17:28 +0000 UTCOooh I like this question.. what would my power be? π€ Hmm well I got both Manipulator and Transmuter, which both fit me very well I think, so.. Transmuter: I'd basically be Loki π in fact, that would be my Hunter name, or Fenrir. I'd illusory transform my appearance, turn my aura to fire, and potentially increase my defense. Manipulator: This one is really hard for me to figure out what would be right for me.. π maybe manipulate animals cuz I'd 100% have a pet tiger, wolf, or if they exist in this world, pet dragon. Manipulating ravens would be handy for information purposes. Another option I'd pick is to manipulate computers and be a mega-hacker which would be insane OP in our world these days lol. Physical combat wise, archery but can never miss a shot. Or the kusarigama (hand-scythe with a chain used by shinobi) if I could do combos, I'd maybe do like, for the hunter world if I was a fighter, manipulate animals but have the kusarigama for combat. If I was more intel build, I'd go with mega-hacker with archery.. ok I'm kinda leaning toward the first combo a bit π₯°

2025-02-09 19:21:00 +0000 UTCKurapika isnt limiting or cutting his potential short because of shortcuts. In fact I dont think what Kurapika did was a shortcut at all, he was solidifying his resolve and reason for him getting more strength. I dont think anything Kurapika did limited or hurt his potential

2025-02-09 17:38:18 +0000 UTCTechnically yes and no. I don't think Kurapika's "way too many levels" ahead. Wing was telling Zushi, take your time and dont do shortcuts, prepare to lose in the 50s else you're cutting your potential short which is what Kurapika's doing. Gon and Killua's approach is more sound and is better in the long run. But power-wise, especially against the Troupe, yeah sure Kurapika is levels ahead of Gon and Killua currently.

2025-02-08 01:09:27 +0000 UTCYeah maybe hindsight is 20/20, but the situation definitely seems out of left field.

2025-02-07 23:59:03 +0000 UTCi think wes already said it but yeah kurapika is way too many levels above gon and killua at this point. not even a comparison. even their understanding of nen is soo different.

2025-02-07 15:29:12 +0000 UTCEven mentioning that there is a drawback is already a spoiler, to be honest. But I think it's fine since it's never mentioned in the anime (and, sadly, a sequel is not very likely). No clue why you would think it's obvious what it would be. It could literally be anything - you have no hint at all at this point. If anything, you might guess that there could be a drawback because it seems rather overpowered right now.

2025-02-07 13:07:45 +0000 UTCI think Wes's description of his nen ability kinda reminds me of Thought Acceleration from Slime (another anime). In practice, it actually allowed the individual using it to effectively slow time. Because they were internalizing things quicker, their perception of time became more precise. And as you know, time always seems to pass slower the more you pay attention to it.

2025-02-07 07:06:09 +0000 UTCKurapika seems overpowered, but its good to remember that at least one of his abilities can only be used against spiders, and it is kinda implied that is the case for more than just chain jail.

2025-02-07 07:05:54 +0000 UTCAll according to Keikaku. I wish u could watch Kurapika vibe in 1999 version in Yorknew Arc. its Bloody and Wild

2025-02-07 04:39:53 +0000 UTCYeah, the drawback is never mentioned in the anime and is only brought up later in the manga. Isn't really a spoiler imo since its an obvious/typical trope condition but wont say it unless one of them gives the OK anyways.

2025-02-07 04:07:40 +0000 UTCJust to make it clear emporer time seems OP out of no where when he seemingly just learnt Nen, but the author has made it so the relative power of things isn't some rug pull. Don't think it's ever mentioned but there is always drawbacks with these situations. When things are OP and it makes sense it genuinely just makes sense you don't need to question it, and there's situations like this where whenever you think there's a drawback there usually is

2025-02-07 01:31:28 +0000 UTCPronunciation of Killua and Kurapikas names should be Killua- Keel-oo-a or Kill-oo-a , not Kahlua the drink Kurapika - Kur-ah- pee- ka -- not kur-uh-peek-a

2025-02-07 00:53:22 +0000 UTCEpisode 47 of HxH is not only my favorite episode in my favorite arc of the show but also one of the best in anime. I sometimes think about it randomly, and it's just so amazing.

2025-02-06 21:36:13 +0000 UTCSo, Wesley wants to be the Flash? :D Emperor Time is such a cool ability and seems rather overpowered, to be honest. However, it also has a major drawback, which you'd have to look up for yourself, I guess. It's not included in the anime, and we don't know if we'll ever get more HxH anime content. Later in this arc, we will also learn more about how and when he can use his different chains. I also really liked what Wes said at the end about not making Uvogin look pathetic. He stayed true to himself until the end and didnβt budge or sell out the Troupe.

2025-02-06 21:01:00 +0000 UTCClarification about Emperor Time. Normal situation: Lv 10 Conjurer (Kurapika) can use a Lv 4 Emitter ability at 40% output. A Lv 4 Emitter would be able to use the same Lv 4 Emitter ability at 100% output. Emperor Time situation: Lv 10 Kurapika can still only use a Lv 4 Emitter ability (not a higher level) however, now he can use it at 100% output. This time his output equals that of a Lv 4 Emitter. Pretty fascinating! So, his Healing Thumb (which implements Enhancement) is able to heal a fractured arm while in Emperor Time. A Lv 6 ability at 100% output instead of 60% output.

2025-02-06 20:52:28 +0000 UTCAlso to put into context the beating Uvo got, remember when Wing 1-inch punched the wall and it made a huge crack or when Gon got his bones broken when enhanced tops hit him while in Zetsu, imagine a full blown swing from Kurapika who's able to open the testing gate and with 100% enhancer efficiency. That's just nuts that he's able to survive multiple hits.

2025-02-06 20:40:45 +0000 UTCThere's also a funny theory going around that instead of bringing a shovel, being a conjurer, he technically couldv'e just conjured a shovel himself lol
Rex Tan
2025-02-06 20:20:29 +0000 UTCLeave it to Kurapika to bring a shovel to a death match, thatβs how you know youβre confident.
