Uvo said that the Kurta clan offered a great resistance when they killed them. So I think every Kurta member is skilled in combat, and the Phantom troupe didn't see the morality of genociding them because they enjoyed fighting them. They probably saw it as fair competition against strong opponents. It would probably have felt different for them if they had just killed defenseless people. Especially when we don't know who was there other than Uvo.

Very appropriate 2-sides-same-coin comparison. I wonder if there's an archetype name for this kind of character? I call it "eerie-innocence" because there's such a pure, unsullied innocence to the character, even if they are doing horrific things. Hinata of Haikyuu I 100% believe could also fall under the same vibes if you set him in an action based anime, and set him in the middle between 2 sides, he could go either way depending on his motivation and you would like him because of his innocent quality anyways. Psychopaths but we love them type vibes lol

It really showed how culturally different Chrollo and gang was from the rest of the world. Not to mention how extremely important that info is for the future manga arc. I really like how Togashi borrows from real world history and ideologies to showcase the human condition.

Enhancers are generally the most physically adept, but even a nen master that’s a conjurer could beat a newbie enhancer in a fist fight. Zushi is a good example. Although he’s a manipulator, he could tank a hit from Killua and knockout grown adults with his fists.
