Zeno transmuted his aura into that of a dragon and when he manipulates it with his hands that is also an application of transmutation, since his aura is not separating from his body (Emission). When Zeno blasted Nen aura towards Chrollo that was Emission. If a Nen ability consists solely of aura it tends to be Emitter or Transmuter.

2025-02-28 22:52:58 +0000 UTCIt could very well be that he is transmuting his aura to make it have certain properties. Long-range stuff is nevertheless the area of emission though. But since the aura is connected to the grandpa that might be an indicator that it is not pure emission. The dragon he showed here is connected to him in a way similar to how Kurapica is connected to his chains when he throws them out against enemies. Although when Silva throws those balls they definately leaves his own aura, necessarily making them need a large amount of emission. But once again: it is fully possible to have a combination of several nen categories at once, especially if you have well-defined conditions set up to make up for your lack of proficiency in a certain nen category.

2025-02-28 22:42:10 +0000 UTCTbf that was only confirmed that they were emitters by Togashi a couple years ago I think, & there was debate prior to that - it’s not always straightforward & simple. :b Most specific abilities are some combination of the varying categories, so I think it’s fun to hear them give their thoughts on it all & explore their interpretations!

He must ask questions about their Nen and be answered by the victim. 3. His victim's palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret. 4. All of the above must be completed within one hour. If the one from whom the skill is stolen dies, the page with the skill is erased, and he can no longer use the technique.
