Vinland Saga S2 Episode 21

Comments

Thorgil already knew that he wasn't inheriting the farm, Olmar was introduced to us as being groomed by Ketil to inherit the farm. That's why Olmar was so obsessed with fighting to be more like his older brother Thorgil and he wasn't interested in inheriting the farm.

I love Olmar character so much

Also trivia: Mappa didn't do the first seasons of Attack on Titan, the studio responsible for Attack on Titan earlier seasons was WIT, and WIT was also responsible for Vinland Saga season 1, WIT studio had some financial issues and then they passed Vinland Saga S2 and Attack on Titan to MAPPA.

I just recently thought about that too - whether they might be interested in adding a slot for Western shows, which would also include things like Arcane and the One Piece live-action series - both of which are often recommended but don’t really fit into any existing category (most likely anime for now, I guess). Of course, there are many other great ones, like GoT, which you already mentioned. I’m pretty sure they recently said their schedule is pretty full right now, but hopefully later on.

Usually they will do it near the end of the show, like one episode to the end

Where can I find this list?

Succession in France also depended on the region (and on the period inside of the middle ages itself). Normandy wasn't really an exception. Maybe in the 9th/10th centuries it was though, but overall not so much. France was just very divided in the middle ages, people rarely realize that for a long time it was as decentralized as the Holy Roman Empire (which is often a meme in that regard).

By the way, that's not what Thorfinn chose. They were already betting on it. Also, I could be wrong but being combative against Jomsvikings and Thegns like these would only serve to rile them up. They're not the kind to quiet down in the face of violence. They relish it. I interpreted taking the punches as a way to put the fire out. Not to mention the true trauma Thorfinn has when inflicting violence. Remember when he punched that dude in episode 9? He had a whole PTSD flashback. And when he swung at Snake, his hands shook a lot before he got into that mode. So this is approaching this not just from a pacifistic standpoint but a mental one too. Many people get trauma from hurting others, not just being hurt. That's a thing I don't see many stories showing. This emotionality is definitely contributing to Thorfinn's pacifism. It hurts him too. I had the displeasure of being in many fights when I was younger and I regret hurting everyone I did (even in self-defense). I don't see this explored in media at all. It's usually just a logical framing for pacificism, divorced from the emotions. Fights are horrible, especially when people get hurt.

Have you considered maybe reacting to some live action shows? Game of thrones is a good starting point, the story and character drama is top tier, especially in the first few seasons

Olmar says he was not strong enough to accept mockery, then later it shows Thorfinn being mocked by the warriors. He’s completely unphased.

Oooooh its coming 👀

We are near the end of a couple of reactions so soon Wes and Steph will take recommendations, so please when that happens let just be organized, that means to check all the list of recommendations and don't add something that was already recommended.

Sagi
