2025-03-08 23:28:21 +0000 UTCWhen I watched it I also felt like 007 fought the whole way to get back to his mom. I didn't feel like he abandoned her at all, so I'm with you on the confusion! The only explanation I have is that he could have maybe fought them off right by the door when their grip wasn't as strong but by then they both would have maybe died since there wasn't enough time to run back to her, find a third person and an empty room so I think by the time he was at the door he had accepted the situation and resigned himself to it but I personally don't think thats cowardly or a betrayal since he tried his best when it was still possible to run back to her (timing wise)

Don't forget that these people are not life-long friends, despite all the friendships being portraied on screen. Not a lot of people are going to risk their lives for a person they've only known for 2 days.

Just a straight coward with no backbone, but has no qualms of putting on the sad eyes to get people to feel sorry for him. Obviously the old business is easy as hell to hate, but at least he's up front about the arsehole that he is.
