Why is the question
Added 2024-01-01 15:00:05 +0000 UTCI did a workshop with Wianamodel, The Endless Sinner, and Lou Lou models this summer.
In the afternoon, the participants were shooting around the house, and some found that shooting Wiana in this upper-floor window was a great idea.
I did a few shots myself using a Sigma 105mm, which is the longest lens I own.
But the background didnβt resonate much with me; I couldn't think of an apparent reason for Wiana being in that window.
And I didnβt want to take over the direction to create one.
So, as always, I wandered around looking for different angles, went into the room, and saw some exciting opportunities.
So, during a break, I had The Endless Sinner sit behind WIana and hold her.
And now the framing makes sense, and there is a reason for them being there:
Wiana is having a smoke, and there is a lot of intimacy in that situation.
Itβs not my regular style image, but itβs relatable and thus believable.
All the images of Wiana are Largely unedited, and apparently, I did something that made them a bit grainyπβ¦

The framing is interesting from the outside, but I agree it does feel off. Not a set of poses where it seems you need to talk her out of jumping to her doom. The inside paired one does make for a much more emotive image, and since we don't know if she's basically on some kind of balcony there isn't the sense of distracting danger.
