Haikyu S4 Episode 13

Comments

🤣 You know.. I just started playing D&D for the first time so that's where my heads been at, but with all the references ya'll make to Steph gut-reacting and casting fireball and how quick you guys are at being all "crush them! Murder!" And then Steph here saying "perfect twins huh? Get 'em GONE!" I'm beginning to see exactly what kind of D&D player she is and it's so funny to picture lol I'm imagining cautious in the way that she's not gonna be a loot goblin or be the one to go into a sketchy warehouse, but rather "Let's just blow it up" but then reckless in every other way, like "oh you think your all that?" (Starts hurling attacks with reckless abandon) or something like that 😂 I bet ya'll would be so fun to play with. It's actually because of Steph's fireball thing that I braved injecting some element of utter chaos into my character 😈 I know I'm instinctively more cautious and have video gamer thinking, so I decided to put in an element that I can't control, which is for my secret (DM wanted us to each have a secret that affects the story and defines our characters behaviors that we can slowly reveal and work on) I made my character a werewolf, and even though there's nothing in the monster guide that says I have to do this, because I'm a barbarian, I made it so whenever I use rage, I have to make a saving throw to not transform, and the closer to a full moon or any moon magic that I am, the difficulty increases. Then my DM also added that when I am around Selunite temples or her magic, moon magic in general, I also have to make saving throws. Then he decided to make the entire story surrounded by Seluné stuff and even his own character is a sorcerer who uses moon magic 😅 he had too much fun thinking how to torture us I think but ya, haven't transformed yet though, but omg the close calls I keep having make it so fun 😁 so thank you guys for inspiring chaos in me lol it really added a super fun edge to my character who would've been so boring otherwise honestly cuz of how cautious I tend to be 😂 Oh and I forgot about Tanaka's adorable little ship. That girl would be such a good pair for him~

Chels

it just makes him seem misogynistic lmao i mean hes a high school boy it wouldnt be surprising

I love Atsumu, he's one of my favourites. I know people have a bit of an issue with him calling the two girls "squealing pigs". But he doesn't actually say it, he just THINKS it and looks at them angrily. You can't tell me, that people never had any mean thoughts, when they were annoyed, stressed or under alot of pressure. Plus if those girls were actually fans of him as a Volleyball player and not just his good looks, they would know not to yell during the serve. Everyone else knew, except those two.

Ai

for me personally it wasn't that, in fact i liked that from him because i felt it made sense, the thing that ticked me off a bit was the calling his fangirls pigs 😭 like that actually took me out of the show a bit, but it's fine now lmao i did warm up to him on episode 20

It's a sports anime, so people tend to view opponents as straight up villains and act like homers for the protagonist and their team. I'm pretty sure Kageyama would be hated too if he was an opponent, it's just how some people operate in these type of animes sometimes.

Amaimon2D

I think most of the reason as to why people hate Atsumu at first is because he calls Kageyama a "Goody Two Shoes" with such a condescending tone that it comes off purely as an insult without the later understanding if what he meant. He is still a pain in the ass as a person though LOL

Amaimon2D

There are no negative comments though, everyone is just telling how they love Atsumu and being very understanding of how Atsumu comes off as a person at first.

Amaimon2D

1:37 "Have a chance" here is 脈あり ("myaku ari") in Japanese, which literally translates to "have a pulse". That's why Tanaka said he has just been born, because he had no pulse before.

Yorutia

Miya Atsumu is the the type of character that, after knowing him, you either hate him or you love him. The thing is that this show doesn't make a very nice first impression of him so people tend to pick sides early on even after getting to see all his sides as a character. It all comes down to people's values, i personally love him and everything he stands for.

Amaimon2D

Atsumu's VA is the same one that voiced Light and Chrollo

Ramms

i get y'all hating atsumu rn honestly LMAO he's actually the one character i couldn't really like until deep into the match, and even then im not as passionate about him as i am oikawa/seijoh or shiratorizawa tbh, you guys shouldn't feel bad for not liking him due to the comments 😭

bella

Don't take the comments too seriously & just keep reacting naturally to however you feel with the characters. ♥

Araragi Senpai

Atsumu became my fav player (after oikawa ofc) among all the opposition teams when i heard him say 'that' line. I'm not spoiling anything but i'm waiting patiently for you to reach that episode! ^^

Kasturi

IKRRR Oikawa was such an amazing/fun character from the get go too, and they hated him all the way till the end of the Karasuno vs Aoba Johsai arc

nox

this was the episode where I started liking him and it all began when he silenced the band for his serve. he’s my second favourite volleyball player after Hinata

bizarre☆azar

I need y’all to start liking my guy Atsumu 😭 I always like the people y’all don’t 😔

bizarre☆azar

Getting so excited about how good his jump felt that he forgot to hit the ball - that is so Hinata!

Rockycitygirl

But seriously though, disliking them (Atsumu in particular) makes a lot of sense because they were designed to be this mega-intimidating unknown powerhouse and Atsumu’s defining characteristic (said with all the love in my heart) is being annoying.

Dan

Obligatory “Inarizaki is one of my favourite teams” comment.
