I remember selling chocolates in elementary, they made it so if you sold 100 you could participate in an exclusive party at the school... I was able to reach the goal and I don't remember anything memorable about the party except there were flashing lights lolll

We’ve done things like playing instruments/music, talent shows, theater performances, charity runs or even small festivals with games and food often for the children’s families and friends to join. I’d also say it depends a lot on the school and teachers - not every school does it, or at least not to the same extent. I always thought it was weird that it’s apparently the norm in the US for children to run around selling chocolate or other things, unless they’re actually raising money for a specific cause. It feels kind of sus if you don’t even know why you’re doing it or where the money is going.
