Watching these early episodes of OP reminds me that before Fujimoto, Oda paved the way to chaotic shonen writing.

I guess that's understandable since most people in the West watched Dragon Ball in English dub. But to us who watched it in Japanese dub, the big deal is Luffy's VA is the same VA as Krillin's.

Colored manga is done much later, and not official; only official coloring comes from colored page spreads, so by the time the official coloring is out, the anime sticks to their version for some reason, even in future episodes

But considering how early in the stories’s life, this was made in can’t exactly blame them.

2026-01-10 23:15:04 +0000 UTCthis is one pace, a fan made version that takes Toei's One Piece and cuts out all of their additions so the pacing aligns more with the manga, it has its pros and cons imo but, they seem to be enjoying the experience so far.
