I do not understand why anyone listens to Phil Spencer anymore. He’s been in charge of X-Box for 10 years of fake “aw shucks” honesty and apologies and “we’ll do betters” but nothing he has done has panned out. I used to really like the guy but these days I think he’s just really great at saying things in a way that sounds brutally honest and self-effacing while subtly shifting blame. I’ll still take him over Jim Ryan because I at least believe he plays games but I don’t trust either of them to make good decisions or be honest about their business.
