It just had some really weird arcs and episodes that would just drag on, but it was on and different from the usual animated shows so I watched it. When Team 4-star did DBZ Abridged, it just did a near perfect job distilling the show down to it’s core plot arcs and added a nice comedic spin to it. DBZ Abridged is still my favorite Dragonball series for that reason.
