Gacha Cummy 1.7 Story Mode

Hello and welcome to this week’s special Gacha Cummy update! If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know our previous works were all VN-adjacent, story-focused games. Gacha Cummy, however, is our first title that leans heavily into gameplay. Since release, some players have voiced concerns about just how much gameplay and grind is packed into the game. As we keep developing the game, these elements are bound to get bigger and tougher, which, understandably, isn’t exactly what every player is looking for.

These issues have lingered in the background for a while, but we believe we’ve found a solution!

Introducing: STORY MODE - launching in this update!

When starting a new game, you’ll now be able to choose between Story Mode and Adventure Mode.

• Adventure Mode is the classic Gacha Cummy experience you’ve come to know and love since the release.

• Story Mode offers a streamlined, directed experience with all battles, grinding, gacha, and party management removed - so you can enjoy the story with ease.

Instead of a quest log, Story Mode uses a Story Book, where your journey will be written. Finish one section to unlock the next. Storylines are split into chapters, and you can switch between them freely. Some stories will need to be completed before new ones become available.

Not all gameplay is gone, though. Story Mode still lets you interact with your guests, talk to them at your camp, and fully enjoy the Farm gameplay, which launches in this very update. Since the Farm isn’t tied to the main Gacha Cummy gameplay, you’ll be free to dive into it whether you choose Story or Adventure Mode.

We hope Story Mode will be a welcome addition for players who don’t have the time or simply don’t want to engage with the more challenging gameplay but still want to experience the world, characters, scenes and stories of Gacha Cummy in full.
