Cursed Baby Mereoleona

“Why else would I be here?” asked Mereoleona sarcastically. “I’m here in search of new recruits! The Crimson Lions pride themselves on being strong! Those that are capable are always welcome to join our ranks! Though thanks to those fuckers at the Golden Dawn keep taking the best people!”
“Well, no more I say! We’ll take the lead on them by recruiting them while they're still young! Eventually, the Crimson Lions will reign supreme!”
“Miss Mereoleona I do love how motivated you are,” said the lead caretaker. “And if it’s alright for me to say that you are indeed my favorite of all the captains. Though I fail to see the logic in your decision. I understand early recruitment, but don’t you think that nursery isn’t quite the best place to do so.”
“What do you mean?” Mereoleona asked confused as to why this woman didn’t understand the genius of her plan,
“Well, most of our kids here are infants. The oldest ones that we have here are five years old. None of them could show you anything that you would desire to see in a magic knight. None of them have even received their grimoires yet.”
“It will be impossible to tell if they are the best fit for the Crimson Lions. Wouldn’t it be better if you tried to recruit some new members over at the elementary or middle schools? The kids would be much older and if I may say far more competent.”
“Hah! That is where you lack the vision to see my plan!” Mereoleona yelled at the lead caretaker. “Simple people like yourself could never understand the brilliance of my plan!”
“I’m sorry?” the lead caretaker said, now even more confused by what she was saying as well as concerned for Mereoleona's mental health.
“Damn right you should be!” Mereoleona yelled again, this time making the lead mother take a few steps away from her. “The brilliance of my plan is that they are young. It matters not what their magic will be so long as we train them from a young age.”
“The younger they are the better! Then once they grow up they will most certainly be the most powerful and competent magic knights of their generation! With them, on our side, the Crimson Lions will be unstoppable!”
“I see,” the lead caretaker said slowly while looking around for anyone to help her, but unfortunately everyone else had already left for lunch. “Well, I can see how enthusiastic you are with your plan. Do you wish to meet with the children today?”
“Of course I do! Why else would I come here? There is no better time than now,” said Mereoleona with a giant smile on her face, which only made the lead mother more concerned about letting this psycho meet with the children.
If she was a bit braver than she was, she could have stopped Mereoleona from meeting with the children. She wasn’t the legal guardian of these kids and allowing a random person to see them defiantly went against many different policies. Though what was she supposed to say when faced with Mereoleona Vermillion?
“This is where the children play,” said the lead caretaker as she lead Mereoleona in a room where many kids were having fun and playing with toys. Many of them as the caretaker had said was no older than five. The rest were younger. Though Mereoleona did not see any babies there.
“The babies usually spend most of their time in their cribs,” said the lead caretaker as if she had read Mereoleona’s thoughts. “The older kids can be a bit rough, so we keep the babies separated from the rest of them for their safety.”
“What weaklings!” Mereoleona yelled while laughing. When I was a baby I was already fighting members of my family, whether they be big or small. Age is no excuse to be weak1”
“Aha,” the lead caretaker chuckled while wiping off the sweat from her forehead with a handkerchief. “I am sure that you were a most exceptional baby, but mind you that not many can be as gifted as you are.”
“Right you are!” she yelled as she slapped the lead caretaker in the back. “Now let me get a good look at these kids.”
“Children please stop what you’re doing,” said the lead caretaker as she walked into the middle of the room. “We have a very important guest here today, who has gone out of her way to see you.”
The kids looked over to the front of the room and their faces instantly brightened up with joy. Without paying attention to the lead caretaker they began to swarm Mereoleona.
“I am your biggest fan!” “Can you shoot fireballs out of your hands!” “How strong are you?” ‘Why are you here?”
The children asked many questions at the same time, turning it into a jumbled-up mess of words. The lead caretaker tried to calm them down, but it was no use. Seeing the temporary captain of the Crimson Lions in front of them would make any child act like this.
Though in order to get everyone to calm down and to have them listen to the caretaker, Mereoleona stomped her foot on the ground once. The stomp caused the entire building to shake, bringing each of the kids crashing down on their butts.
“All of you quiet!” she yelled at the kids and all of them shut their mouths without question. “Thank you miss Mereoleona,” the lead caretaker said, while quickly examining the kids to make sure that no one was hurt.
“As I was saying, today we have an important quest with us today children. Allow me to introduce you all to the temporary captain of the Crimson Lions, Mereoleona Vermillion!” The kids all clapped with joy as a response, but they made sure not to talk so they wouldn’t anger Mereoleona.
“Listen up you brats,” she said with confidence. “I have come here for one reason and that’s to recruit you, kids, into to glorious Crimson Lions! Each and every one of you has the potential to be the best. It matters not if you are a boy or a girl, fat or skinny. What matters is that you have heart and the strength the move past any obstacle!”
The kids looked at her with awe. They may not understand her that well as they were just kids, but they knew that she wanted them. This excited the kids, all except for one.
“You need power to get what you want! Power to protect those you care about! Without power you are nothing! If you wish to be weak then that is a sin! Only those with power get what they want in this world. Onl-”
Mereoleona’s speech was cut off as a small wooden block came flying at her. Though being who she was this didn’t even classify as a threat to her. She caught the block in mid-air and looked back in the direction it came from to see a blond-haired girl no older than three, wearing a giant pink diaper in front of her.
“Mary!” the lead caretaker yelled as she ran over and slapped the girl's hand which threw the block. “Oh, could you throw that at our guest? Apologize right now!”
“No!” the girl yelled back while refusing to look away from Mereoleona. “I don’t wanna!”
“Mary, apologize right now, or else.” The caretaker said again while forcing the girl to face her. “She is the temporary captain of the Crimson Lions and a Vermillion. You were taught better than to anger those that rank above you.”
“No! She’s a big meanie and a liar!” “My daddy was strong, but he still ended up leaving me and mommy alone! She’s a liar!”
“Mary-”
“It’s alright,” said Mereoleona as she walked over to them. “If your father ended up dead then that just means that he wasn’t strong enough, but I can promise you that you can be so much stronger than he ever was,” Mereoleona said while trying to comfort the girl.
“My daddy wasn’t weak! You lie! You liar!” she yelled at Mereoleona while a pink aura of magic appeared around her. “Take this!” she yelled while throwing a pink ball made out of light at her, but when it hit Mereoleona it did nothing.
“You little brat!” Mereoleona yelled, now furious that this girl had tried to attack her with magic. “That’s it, you need to be made an example for the other kids in learning how to respect your elders!”
Mereoleona then grabbed Mary and pulled her over her lap. Mary screamed and begged, but it was no use. Mereoleona pulled down her diaper and began to spank her until her butt was bright red.
“Wahhhhhhhh!” the girl began to cry as the lead caretaker took her away from Mereoleona. There was a look of both hate and fear from the caretaker as she lead Mary out of the room.
“You see that! That’s what happens to those that have no power and talk back to those that do! Power means everything! Without it you are nothing! Now, who here wants to join the Crimson Lions as official recruits?”
“Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!” All the other children began to cry in fear of what they just witnessed. Mary was right, Mereoleona wasn’t someone to look up to. She was a big meanie that didn’t care who she hurt to get what she wanted. She wasn’t someone that they should be looking up to.
“Miss Mereoleona, come with me right now,” the lead caretaker said as she grabbed her and dragged her out of the room. “Excuse me ma’am, but what the hell were you thinking!?”
“What do you mean?” she asked confused. I think that everything went quite well, don’t you?”
“You thought that went well? Are you insane!? You tried to coerce these children to join you and when one of them got mad at you, you spank them!”
“She attacked me first. She should have known that I would have attacked back.”
“She’s a child!” the lead caretaker yelled at her. “You attacked a child because of a spell that did nothing to you! I want you out! I want you out right now! And don’t come back until you learn to act your age!”
The lead caretaker then pushed Mereoleona out of the nursery and locked the door behind her. In Mereoleona’s mind, she did nothing wrong, because that was the way that she was raised. Though to do that to an outsider was terrible, but her pride would never let her admit that.
As she got in her carriage to go back home she was unaware that the spell the girl tried to cast on her did not fail. In fact, it was currently still active, but it would take some time for it to take full effect.
The next day Mereoleona woke up an hour later than she normally did. Confused she got out of her bed, and inside of feeling refreshed and ready for the day, she felt sluggish. It was as if her body was telling her that she needed more rest, even though she had an extra hour to sleep.
After getting dressed and eating breakfast Mereoleona made her way down to the training grounds where her brother Leopold and several members of the Crimson Lions were already training.
“Nee-san, you’re up late,” he said to her as she walked up to him. “Is everything alright? You look a bit pale.”
“Shut up Leopold and get back to training,” Mereoleona said as she pushed past him. Though for some reason she actually had to put a bit more effort than usual to get him to move. Was he getting stronger?
As Mereoleona did her morning laps around the castle she found herself becoming tired. She hadn’t felt this tired since she was a child, why was this happening now? Maybe she was just having an off day.
When she finally finished her morning routine she was drenched in sweat. She made her back to the training grounds where the others were, and they took quick notice of her condition.
“Captain are you alright?” one of them asked as they all walked over to her. “You look different today. Are you feeling well?”
“I’m fine,” she said back to them as she wiped the sweat from her brow. “I just went a little harder on myself today. You know, changing things up. It’s good to push yourself from time to time.”
“Captain are you sure you’re alright?” another member asked. “Usually you would be louder and pumped up, but today you seem a bit down.”
“Yeah, he’s right said a third member. “Besides I only saw you do half the number of laps you usually do. There’s no way that you should be this tired. Something definitely is wrong. Perhaps we should call over a medic. Maybe they can-”
“I said I’m fine!” she yelled at her men, losing her temper. She didn’t want to appear weak in front of her men. No matter what she had to be the pinnacle of strength. To show weakness now while her younger brother was still in the state he was in, was unacceptable. She would have to be strong even if she ended up hurting herself in the process.
“You fools don’t know what it means to be strong and in shape!” she yelled back at them while trying to sound confident, but she and the other members could hear her voice crack.
“I’m off to do several laps around the whole capital! You fools can stay here and train! Don’t wait for me to return!” she yelled as she ran off, leaving her concerned members behind.
From there she did as she said and ran around the whole capital, but she was only able to run one lap around the capital by the time that the sun began to set. Exhausted she tried to make her way up to her room, but before she could her brother Leopold got in her way.”
“Wow, nee-san you look like you did one hell of a workout,” he said to her with a smile spread across his face. “Come on have dinner with me and tell me all about it,” he said not knowing that Mereoleona just wanted to pass out. Though in order to make it so that her brother didn’t suspect everything, she would have to go along for now.
Once in the dining hall they began to eat, though the food that she usually ate was left untouched. She found it too hard to chew, so she opted for lighter foods instead.
“Nee-san, are you alright?” Leopold asked, more concerned by his sister’s current behavior. “If you need to talk please tell me. I’m sure that if we do it would make you feel better.”
“Are you calling me weak?” Mereoleona asked, assuming that his concern for her was just him looking down on her. “I’m not weak! I’m at the top of my game!”
“Nee-san I never said that you were weak,” Leopold said, trying to calm her down. I’m just saying that you might be having an off day. You can’t be expected to be in top shape all year round. You should take a few days for yourself and relax.”
“We all know how hard you’re working to make the Crimson Lions the best, but if you run yourself into the dirt then what’s the point. We need a leader that won’t put themselves at risk. We’re here if you ever need our help.”
“You’re right,” Mereoleona, said as she finished up her soup. “Today I wasn’t feeling like myself. I sure that all I need is a good night’s rest and I’ll be back in action. Though I think I will take a few days off. I deserve a break.”
Mereoleona knew that her brother was right. Constantly overworking herself wouldn’t help at all. Today was probably just a fluke.
Mereoleona went to sleep that night with a sound heart, but once the next morning came she felt worse than she did the day before. Her body was even more sluggish than it was yesterday and when she looked at herself in the mirror she saw that her muscles had started to decrease.
At this point, she knew that something was wrong, but she didn’t know what exactly. Taking advantage of the day off she decided to go visit Mimosa, who was skilled with healing magic.
“Oh, Mereoleona, what do I owe the pleasure?” Mimosa asked as Mereoleona walked over to her.
“Mimosa, I need your help,” she said while making sure that no one else was around to see. “Something’s wrong with my body and you might be able to help me. I didn’t know who else to talk to.”
“Hmm, you do you a bit pale and your demeanor is a lot calmer than usually,” said Mimosa as she quickly looked at Mereoleona. “Here come inside and I see what I can do.” “Thank you,” she said as the both of them walked inside Mimosa’s room.
Mimosa sat Mereoleona down on her bed and began to examine her body, using both physical and magical methods. After several minutes of testing Mimosa finally came up with her diagnosis.
“Mereoleona, you’re perfectly healthy,” said Mimosa. “In fact, your vitals indicate those of someone in their early twenties. I knew you were a beast but this is amazing.”
“But I don’t feel that way,” said Mereoleona. “I feel weaker, and look at my muscles! They’re shrinking! Something wrong!”
“Mereoleona, just calm down. It’s probably just all in your head. There’s nothing to worry about. You just need some rest. Being a Magic Knights captain is a stressful job. It’s no wonder that you’re feeling more tired lately. Eventually, you’ll get used to this extra workload.”
“No!” Mereoleona yelled at her. “You’re wrong! You’re wrong! You’re wrong!” she screamed as if having a tantrum. “Something wrong with me! I need you to fix me!”
“Mereoleona calm down,” Mimosa said, while slowly making her way to the door. “There’s nothing that I can do for you. It’s all in your mind. I can’t help you.”
“You liar!” Mereoleona screamed as she tried to burn down the room, but only managed to set a small fire to Mimosa’s bed. Mereoleona was shocked to see that her magic had started to decline as well, but Mimosa who didn’t know that instantly went save her bed.
While she was distracted Mereoleona ran home in shame. Why did she act that way? Why was her magic declining? What was happening to her? Could she fix this?
Mereoleona cried herself to sleep that night. When she awoke the next day, she didn’t mind that her body felt sluggish. In fact, it felt kind of nice. As she slowly rose from the bed she noticed that the lower half of her bed felt oddly warm and moist.
As she took off the sheet she almost screamed when she saw that there was a giant yellow stain spread across her sheets! She instantly jumped out of her bed and removed her soiled clothes and threw them on the bed. After that, she used her weakened magic to burn the bed and her clothes so that no one could find out that she wet the bed.
Though this only solved a portion of the problem. Regrettably, she knew what she had to do. Fearing the worst Mereoleona made her way down to the shopping district while making sure to cover her face.
She then entered a store that sold nothing but baby products. She quietly made her way to the back to where the diapers were. Though even though she wanted to pick a brand that wouldn’t make her stand out, she noticed that she could no longer read. The words in front of her were nothing more than random scribbles to her now.
Panicking she grabbed the largest pack there and went to the counter, where the store clerk greeted her. “Hello, ma’am. I can see you grabbed to jumbo absorbent pack. Let me guess, your little one’s bladder is too much for the regular brands.”
“Yeah,” Mereoleona, said to the clerk as she did her best not to look the clerk in the eyes. “We’ve gone through a lot of diapers with the newborn.”
“I know. They can be a real hassle, right? Bu at the end of the day, seeing them waddle around in their cute diapers is just the best. Don’t you agree?”
“Of course,” she said, wanting the conversation to be over.
“Okay, that will be 1000 yul,” the clerk said as Mereoleona brought out her pouch of money, but couldn’t remember how much 1000 yul was. Not wanting to look like an idiot she placed down the biggest coin she had on the counter and was about to walk away when the clerk stopped her.
“Ma’am don’t forget your change,” she said as she handed back the change to Mereoleona. “Raising a newborn is hard. It’s best that you have as much money as possible because you never know when you’ll need it.”
“Thanks,” Mereoleona said quickly as she grabbed the change and left the store. From there she went home while avoiding everyone. Later that night she put her first diaper on.
As she slept she was filled with dreams of her being treated like a baby. People caring for her, and loving her. While she should have been scared by these dreams they actually made her feel happy. As a baby, she didn’t have anything to worry about.
For the next several days after that Mereoleona’s condition worsened to a point where she kept making the simplest mistakes around her subordinates. Her mood swings were sporadic and at one point she found that she needed to wear her diapers outside of when she slept as well.
It was hard to hide them underneath her pants and whenever she moved around there was always a crinkling noise that followed. There was nothing that she could do but hide in her room. Hoping that whatever was happening to her would soon end.
As she spent her time alone she began to think and act more like a baby. In fact, it was fun for her. She didn’t have to do anything, but have fun, eat and change her diaper. Then in her dreams, she could be the beautiful baby princess that she knew she always was.
Finally, after a few days of keeping up this routine, she woke up one day to find herself in a giant baby crib, fit four an adult, wearing nothing but a giant pick diaper with a binkie stuck in her mouth. Confused she crawled around trying to find the exit, but there was nowhere for her to go.
“Oh look at this the big baby finally woke up,” said the girl name Mary as she walked out from the shadows with a wicked smile across her face. “Did the baby have a nice nap?”
Mereoleona wanted to talk back to the girl but found that she couldn’t say the words. She felt that if she took her binkie out something bad would happen to her.
“Oh, that’s right,” said Mary as she realized the effect of the spell on Mereoleona. “You can’t speak at the moment. Here let me help with that.” Mary snapped her fingers and instantly Mereoleona’s mind began to clear.
She spat out the binkie in disgust and looked at her reflection from the body-length mirror attached to the crib. In horror, she tried to rip the diaper off, but there was no strength in her arms to do so. In fact, there wasn’t even any strength left in her legs to even stand.
“Now, now, good babies have to keep their diapers on,” Mary said with a wicked smile across her face. “You should be grateful, when you were brought here that diaper was filthy, it’s a good thing that we decided to change you.”
“You little brat!” Mereoleona yelled, but could no longer muster any strength into her magic. She was at this moment powerless to do anything. “What the hell did you do to me!?”
“Good babies should not use such words,” Mary said to her as other children walked and crawled out from behind her. Each one of them was in awe of Mereoleona’s current state, and serval of them even started to laugh at her.”
“Stop laughing you brats! Once I get out of here you all will be-” “Be what?” Mary asked sarcastically. “Punished? I doubt that I baby like yourself could do any real harm to us. In fact, if the baby keeps acting up then she’ll get a spanking.”
“Why are you doing this!?” Mereoleona yelled as tears of embarrassment started to flow out of her eyes.
“Because you are weak,” said Mary as she got close to Mereoleona. “You said that those with power can get whatever they want. Those without are nothing. You came here to bully us. You only wanted to flaunt your power. Well, I took that power away from you, so do you feel strong now? Do you, miss big baby?”
“I’ll get you for this!” Mereoleona yelled, refusing to give up. She would make this little girl pay for turning her into this.
“I don’t think that you will,” said Mary. “Once I snap my fingers the spell I cast on you will force you to dump out all those little big girl thoughts of yours. You’ll be nothing more than a big baby that will spend her days being taken care of. Just like in your dreams. You know it as well, that you want to be a baby. Being a big girl is hard, think of this as a gift.”
“No! Please don’t!” Mereoleona screamed as more tears started to flow out of her eyes. “I’ll do anything you want! Please don’t make me a baby! I’m begging you! I’ll be a good girl I promise!”
“Oh, silly baby, those are bog girl words. Little babies like you aren’t ready for complete sentences yet. I do hope that you enjoy your new life,” she said as she snapped her fingers, completing the spell.
Mereoleona tried to fight back but the urge was too great. She messed her diaper without remorse as her mind faded away. All of her memories, and skills that she learned through the course of 32 years were all dumped into her diaper.
During her last bit of consciousness, she saw Mary disappear into the shadows. Mereoleona then fell back onto her back and began to suck on her thumb. Everything was new to her. She was scared and didn’t know what to do.
The other kids watched the new baby in curiosity before calling for the caretakers. Once they arrived they were shocked to see the temporary captain of the Crimson Lions fast asleep in a crib sucking her thumb with a filled diaper.
Not knowing what happening the nursery decided to take care of Mereoleona. They tried contacting her family, but they agreed that this was for the best. Did they perhaps know what was happening to her all along?
Well, no matter. Mereoleona is a lovely child and will be raised to be a kind and gentle girl this time around. I do hope that she enjoys her time through babyhood again because, by the looks of it, she’ll be in diapers for a long time.
