Baby Bat Part 7

“Now where's my baby?” asked Zatanna as she walked into the room.

“Mommy!” yelled Bee the moment she saw her walk in and ran over to her. Bee was excited to see Zatanna after what just happened and eagerly wanted to feel protected. She clung to Zatanna’s leg. Zatanna then picked her up and held her next to her chest. Call me Damien was mean to me.

“Cory what happened? Why does Bee look so upset?” “Well earlier Damien came in and expressed his displeasure with Bee’s new form and it caused her to start crying. I managed to calm Bee down and Dick is having a talk with Damien right now.”

“That little brat causes my daughter cry! I ought to turn him into a toad!” “Now, now, Zatanna please understand that Damien is a victim of all this as well. You were the one that turned his father into your daughter.”

“Mommy please don't be mad at Damien; I don't want you to turn into a toad.” Bee looked at Zatanna with tears in her eyes and Zatanna’s anger started to lessen. “Fine, my daughter doesn't wish it, so it will not be done.” “Thank you, mommy!” yelled Bee in joy as she embraced her mother with a hug.

“Mommy can I go get a snack the kitchen please?” Bee asked with puppy dog eyes. Yes you may sweetie, just remember one cookie, no more okay.” “Yes Mommy!” Zatanna put down Bee and Bee ran into the kitchen with a big smile across her face.

“She's just so adorable!” said Cory as she watched Bee run away. “Zatanna I really hope our Mari is going to be just like her when she grows up.” “I hope so as well. Bee is adorable. Yet I do wish that she would open herself up to others just like she does for me. You must have noticed that she is trying to act like her former self.”

“I noticed, but that itself is cute as well. I can tell that you’re doing a great job raising her.” “I hope so. I don't really know too much about raising kids but I think I'm doing a good job when it comes to Bee. I really hope that I'm raising her in the way that will help her get the best life she needs.”

“Don't worry Zatanna I can tell you right now that she is happy just by seeing the two of you together. You’re a great parent. You shower her with love and right now and you don't spoil her either. I think that’s going to be something that I’ll have problems with my own daughter. Tamaraneans dot on their young ones. My father was more dotting to me than he was Blackfire."
