Artifacts of good and evil

Over millennia there have been several instances where godlike power has graced the human race. More often than not it's to intervene and prevent armageddon, ragnarok, or total annihilation depending on which culture you ask. Sometimes though, these minor corrections leave traces of divine power behind, often referred to as magic. This power can't sustain itself and thus needs a vessel to continue existing.
More often than not, the divine interventions have been with humans. This has resulted in most of such magical items being of human origin. They can be everything from books to clothes to tools.
Every once in a while the gods will interfere with nature itself. Volcanic eruptions that could be the end of all life have been prevented time and time again over the years, having left some natural objects imbued with magic. These objects are much harder to come across as they're often left untouched by the human race.

The power is pure and formless. That is until it inhabits an object. The history and use of the object shapes the magic to fit the item's original purpose or user. Some people come to learn that items are empowered and grow corrupted with lust and greed as near godlike power has a tendency to do just that. With every interaction, a print is left behind. Every action, every decision continues to shape and form the objects and magic. Some objects have even been said to grow sentient to some degree, often reflecting the personality or actions of their former handlers.

While a lot of the objects have a way of shrouding their presence, making it near impossible to spot their influence. Some objects are too powerful to remain discreet and require a firm hand to wield.

Just a quick teaser for an upcoming story. It's already been submitted at CHYOA for approval and will likely be up within the end of the week. It is, as you could probably  tell, a fairly standard "magical objects" based story with some more detailed explanation of the objects in question, their origin and why they function as they do.
I'll be able to write multiple characters for a single item whilst also having many unique items all together. If you have any suggestions for items you think could be interesting be sure to comment your ideas!

It will release with additional chapters (This was just the intro) sometime around the conclusion of feelings of inadequacy: Minh Rose. Be it either before or after.
As with most of my stories it's pretty open ended, meaning I can do several stories under the same-ish concept with different characters and ideas.
I will most probably revisit feelings of inadequacy again in the future with a new original cast of characters and fates, but that is probably a long way off.
