Naturally, not every detail about a person can be pictured at once, that would simply be impossible. Given the nature of how Kitty worded her wish, only the primary features she managed to latch on to would be transferred to their new lives. Some, if not most of those characteristics she pictured were inconsistent with the true version of each of the girls, not that any of them would be the wiser. She'd also wished for the group to forget about the game and it's impact on their lives.

One might say that Alice got off fairly easy, compared to the others at least. Though she doesn't look much like what she used to.. Her previous golden locks were a long lost memory, having been replaced with the black and short mane, courtesy of the game. This version of Alice actually had both naturally brown eyes, as well as hair, but preferred to dye it black to match her look. Kitty had forgotten which color her eyes were supposed to be, but at least realized that no one had cat eyes. The same could be said for her ears and tail, which prior to finishing the game she'd actually come to be quite fond of, not that she had any recollection of having had them in the first place.

Speaking of her "look". Kitty didn't pinpoint a type of clothes or style for her friend. One might wonder if that meant Alice would continue sporting sheer lingerie and stockings as her primary choice of wardrobe. Sure, she would actually prefer to wear something along those lines when seducing a boyfriend or husband. However, thanks to the part where Kitty's image of the group was one that could function in the real world, those preferences remained exclusive to the bedroom..

Alice's style didn't deviate too far though. Without specific guidance from Kitty other than "functioning", and "Public decency", her preferences remained in the shade of black. In fact, her whole outfit usually consisted of various tones of black. Black skirts, band t-shirts, high socks and belts. With her dyed hair, black attire, pale skin and generally quiet and secluded personality, Alice could be categorized as the very definition of a goth girl. Too bad she'd lost her breasts in the process. With her old bust she most certainly would've qualified as being "big tiddy goth GF" material.

Sadly, Kitty failed to snap out of it before losing her grasp on the original Alice. The very thing that had forced the group to play the game to completion, namely Alice's personality, had been forgotten. This led to the unfortunate consequence of locking her into the permanent life of an introvert and socially distant person. At least she'd lost the "hate people" thing she had going on during the game. Her taste for humiliation and degrading acts and however remained a prominent fetish of hers. If she'd had slightly more confidence to wear her true colors, she most certainly would be wearing chokers or collars publicly. She could probably still pull it off without it being attributed to a type of fetish thanks to her otherwise goth appearance.

"Ya coming or not, snail?"

Gretchen's loud and commanding voice rocked the classroom as Alice hurriedly packed her bag. Part of Kitty's wish was to keep the group together, still the best friends they'd been prior to the events of the game. The group dynamic had severely changed though. With Alice out of the picture as the de facto leader and center, that void had to be filled somehow. The second in line, perhaps even more prominent a personality than what it was replacing, would be Gretchen. Her outgoing, confident and competitive spirit did well to keep the group together. Sure, it'd be nice if she could tone down her "I'm superior to everyone" vibe, but Alice never dared to make that statement. Hopefully Kitty or Rebecca could knock her down a few pegs.

"Yea, almost ready" Her voice low as ever.

Never vocal, Alice relied on her friends' ability to understand her based on body language and their years of history. Her inability to properly converse with others meant that the group of friends just out in the hallway waiting for her, remained her only ones. It's as they say, quality over quantity. So long as one has two or three close friends, loneliness will never be an issue. If things could just stay like they were now Alice wouldn't have any complaints or fears.

Alas, things always change. Exams are right around the corner, and each of the girls had applied for various colleges and universities around the country. Though there were overlapping choices in location, the varied nature of their interests meant that they'd all opted for different degrees. Alice's choice was mainly influenced by her inability to work and communicate with others. As soulless and secluded as they come, Alice wanted to be an accountant. It was perfect, she could look at a monitor all day, staying inside and away from the sun. There wasn't much need to talk or work with others either, so long as the numbers aligned.. And so what if her colleagues hated her? That'd only be the natural state of affairs for an accountant anyway. She'd watched enough of The Office during her countless days of seclusion in her room to understand the dynamic between accountants and the rest of the workplace.

The future wasn't something Alice wanted to think about right now though. She'd much rather enjoy the last few days she had with her friends. God knows she won't get to experience the same sense of belonging as she had done with these girls. She could consider herself lucky if she managed to make even a single friend after graduating.
Frankly, the future scared her, hence her lack of willingness to think about it.
Bag all packed, Alice headed for the door where Gretchen, Kitty and Rebecca waited for her. They were all set to endure the traditional cram session in preparations for their upcoming exams.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you liked the ending for Alice. For those of you who wanted to see how she's doing further down the line, I've decided to vary the timeframes in which I explore each character's epilogue. By this I mean that only Alice's epilogue will be in the timeframe right after the game (theoretically) occurred. Next up is Gretchen and it'll take place roughly half a year after Alice's, which would be towards the end of her first semester as a freshman. I'll take the opportunity to sprinkle in little bits about the other characters to further explore how they fare after the conclusion of the game.

If you have any feedback about the way I've gone about and done this whole story, I'd very much like to hear it! It's been a blast to write and my longest project of any sort, ever. Not just within writing.

Comments

If you've got elaborate feedback I'd LOVE to hear from you in my DMs!

Varying timeframes, that is a nice way of doing it. I was expecting a brief but complete telling of their new lives (or at least just the juicy bits) but how you've done it is much better. Also another very cute Alice pic. As far as overall story feedback, I certainly have some, as I'm someone who super over analysis everything I read/watch and I hate to sound negative all the time but if you want to hear it I'll throw my thoughts at you.
