Kirito's Ar Part 1

“Good work today,” Alice said to Kirito as they entered her home.

“Sister! You’re back~!” Selka yelled with joy upon seeing her sister walk inside. “How was the quest?”

“It was great~,” Alice said, patting her adorable sister’s head. “Without Kirito I don’t think that I would have gotten back this fast.”

“Really, because if I remember you were doing most of the work,” Kirito said to her. He had been questing with Alice for a while now, and he knew that she was strong enough to go on quests without him. She was just bringing him to be nice.

“Nonsense, without you I would have been able to get these~,” she said gleefully, pulling out a bundle of herbs from her bag.

“Big sister are those…”

“They are,” Alice said smugly.

“Huh? What’s going on, aren’t they just plain old herbs?” Kirito asked, wondering why they were so excited to see those herbs.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, Kirito you think too little~,” Alice said to him. “These herbs increase the stamina and vitality of any woman that consumes it.”

“Okay? So, what does that mean for me?” Kirito asked them. It was great that it would help them, but it really didn’t mean anything to him.

“Ugh~. Kirito, sometimes you can be so dense,” Alice said to him. “Selka, I trust that you can prepare some of these and add them to tonight’s meal?”

“Of course big sister!” Selka happily said, before taking the herbs from her sister and running back to the kitchen.

“Trust me Kirito even if it doesn’t do anything for you physically it will taste amazing, now take off your armor before you go to the table.”

“Sure thing,” Kirito said to her, thinking that they were just being overly dramatic. Though when the time came for the food to be served Kirito couldn’t help but drool at the mere smell of Selka’s cooking. In truth, she was even better than Asuna, but he would never admit that to her.

Sitting before him was a roast duck that had been cooked at the perfect temperature and lightly glazed, with the herbs sprinkled on top of it.

“Selka this looks wonderful~,” Alice said complimenting her sister.

“I agree,” Kirito said, forgetting what he said about the herbs.

“Thanks, it’s the least I can do to help,” Selka said to them, happy that she could help out in any way that she could. “Now let’s eat~!”

The three of them ate the meal that Selka prepared, filling their stomachs until their plates were practically licked clean. This was the best meal that Kirito and Alice have ever had, and it was all thanks to Selka.

By the time the next morning arrived Kirito felt amazing! His body felt lighter, and he felt like he had slept for days. Even his complexation in the mirror looked better than it did yesterday. Perhaps the herb worked on males as well, and their information was wrong.

“Good morning Kirito said, walking down the steps where Alice was waiting at the base of the stairs.

“Good morning,” Alice said back to him, smiling when she saw him. “It looks like someone got a good night’s rest~.”

“Yeah, I did,” he said getting closer to her. “I slept like a- wahhhh!”

All of a sudden Kirito’s body felt strange like it didn’t belong to him. In that brief moment, he lost control of his body, causing himself to trip when his foot touched the last step, propelling him straight into Alice’s breasts!

SMACK!

“Kirito! What the hell is wrong with you!?” Alice yelled at him. It was obvious to her that he did it on purpose. There was no way that he would trip while walking down the steps, he was never that clumsy.

“Ow~! What the heck was that for?” Kirito asked her, thinking that he must still be half asleep. It’s the only thing that could explain him, tripping like that. Though Alice didn’t have to slap him that hard.

“You know what you did,” she said, walking over to the kitchen table for breakfast which Selka had prepared using the herbs her sister gave her. She planned on using them for the next few days in order to get the maximum effect.

“Good morning Kir- oh my what happened to your face!” Selka worriedly asked Kirito, whose left cheek had a bright red handprint on it.

“Don’t worry about it Selka,” Alice said to her younger sister. “He knows what he did.”

They ate the rest of their breakfast in silence. Once they were done Kirito and Alice put on their armor and were about to head out for the day. Today they were tasked with killing a demon beast in the forest surrounding the village at the request of the mayor.

“Alright Kirito let's go,” Alice said taking the lead. Within the next hour or so they finally found traces of the demon beasts and followed the trail it left. It didn’t take long after that for them to find the demon beast.

Luckily for them, it was distracted eating a bear, so they had the element of surprise.

“Okay Kirito here’s the-”

“I got this!” Kirito yelled out, running straight toward the demon beast. Within a matter of seconds, he defeated it with ease. It was only a small fry so there was nothing to worry about.

“Kirito what the heck!” Alice yelled at him for rushing in without a plan. He was usually never like this, what was going on here?

“It’s fine, the demon beast wasn’t that strong,” he said to her, sheathing his sword. “There is nothing to worry about. It was weak,” he said. He knew he was a bit impulsive today, but he couldn’t help but want to show off in front of Alice since she was the one that did most of the work during their last quest. It was his turn to step up.

“That’s not the point,” Alice said to him. She could understand that it was a weak demon beast, but he could have at least waited for her to finish her plan. “Next time just wait. For all, we know that could have been a variant.”

“I’m sorry,” Kirito said to her, understanding that Alice has always been worried about her friend’s safety after what happened to Eugeo.

“It’s fine, let’s just go home,” she said to him.

For the rest of the day, Alice and Kirito were a bit awkward around one another for the rest of the night. Though their spirits perked right up at the sight of Selka’s cooking, which once again was mixed with the special herbs.

For the second night in a row, Kirito went to bed with a full stomach. When he awoke the next day, he felt even better than he did the last. Those herbs were doing wonders for him. He felt like he had the same amount of energy when he started playing SAO and his face looked silky smooth. He would have to tell Asuna and Yui about this herb when they come by for a visit.

“You look well rested,” Alice said to him, seeing that Kirito probably got more sleep than she did last night.

“I am~,” Kirito happily said to her. “I slept like a baby.”

“Yeah, and you snore like one too,” Alice said to him, as Selka presented their breakfast to them, but it lacked the flare that it usually had. It would seem that Selka didn’t get much sleep last night either.

“What are you talking about? I have snored since I was fourteen,” Kirito said to them. “I grew out of it.”

“Well maybe you grow back into it,” Alice said, sounding a tad bit ticked off.

“It’s true, Kirito,” Selka said to him, sitting down next to her sister. “You were snoring all night long.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t notice,” he said, feeling bad that he kept them up most of the night. “I’ll go down to the village and get you, girls, some earplugs. While I’m gone you two should get some sleep.”

“Already ahead of you,” Alice said, slowly making her way over to the couch, without even eating breakfast. She used to train herself to operate without sleep, but today she just didn’t care and decided to relax for once.

“Selka, do you need some help,” Kirito asked her, offering to take her back to her room.

“I’m fine, just please get us those earplugs,” she said slowly wobbling back to her bedroom.

Not wanting to let her hard work go to waste Kirito ate everything on the table before making his way over to the village. It didn’t take him long to get the earplugs for the girls, before making his way back home.

Once he got back, he saw that both Alice and Selka were sound asleep. Not wanting to wake them he decided that it would be best to go train for a bit. Though the moment he went to pick up his sword he noticed for a split second that it felt off, but that discomfort didn’t last long, nor did it linger.

Kirito spent the rest of the night training and when he got back home both Alice and Selka were wide awake, and dinner was served with the usual Selka flare.

“Hey, I just wanted to let you girls know that I’m sorry,” Kirito said handing them each a pair of the best earplugs that he could buy. “I’m sure that it was just a one-time thing, but just in case I made sure that I gave you the best model.”

“Kirito you really didn’t have to,” Alice said to him. “A cheaper pair would have worked just as well.”

“Thank you, Kirito,” Selka said to him.

“It’s no problem at all,” Kirito said to them. “I just hope that you two can get a better night’s sleep.”

Once dinner was done, they spent some time together before heading to bed.

The next morning Kirito woke up and to his surprise, he didn’t feel as energetic as he did before. In fact, he felt a bit sluggish, like he still need to sleep in some more. It was odd since he had been getting the same amount of sleep every night ever since he was trapped in SAO.

Also, for some reason when he looked in the mirror today, he couldn’t help but feel that he was shorter, though it was probably just his imagination playing tricks on him.

From there, his day started out the same as it always did. He ate breakfast with Selka and Alice which was seasoned with the last of the herbs, and then Kirito and Alice put on their armor and headed out to take care of a goblin settlement that was forming to the west of the village.

During their march there, Kirito was certain now that his armor and sword were heavier than before. Did Alice do something to them to mess with him or was there something else going on here?

“Kirito pay attention, we’re here,” Alice said to him, as they arrived at the outskirts of the village. “Since there are a lot of them here, we’ll have to work together. I’ll take the ones on the left, and you take the ones on the right,” Alice said to him before drawing her sword. “Alright let’s go!” she yelled charging straight at them with Kirito following straight behind her.

For the first several goblins Kirito was able to take them down with ease. Though as the battle continued, he felt himself becoming drained of energy much faster than he usually did. In fact, he was struggling a bit to wield his sword. From an outside view, it wasn’t noticeable, but as the person that swung the sword, Kirito could tell that he was getting slower.

“Looks like you’re done as well,” Alice said, not noticing that Kirito was struggling a bit.

“…Yeah…I’m done,” he said, taking a few seconds to catch his breath. He figured that this had something to do with how he slept. He would probably be back to normal tomorrow.

However, much to Kirito’s dismay, he wasn’t fine. In fact, he felt even more tired than he did the day before. He was so tired that he didn’t even notice that he had shrunk down half an inch overnight!

He was originally five foot seven and now he was five foot six and a half. Alice was five foot six, making them almost the same height now!

“Kirito you don’t look so good,” Selka said, noticing him slowly making his way to the table.

“I’m fine,” Kirito said to her. “I’m just tired. I think I’ll stay home for the day.”

“I agree, you don’t look good at all,” Alice said, sitting down across from him. “Just take the day off and get some rest, you need it.”

To Kirito’s surprise, Alice was taking it easy on him. Usually, she would tell him that training was the best way to wake up, but she must be doing this for him since he helped her out the other day. Not willing to let this chance slip by, Kirito took her up on this offer and went back to bed after eating some breakfast.

While he slept, he began to have a nightmare. In the nightmare, he was nothing more than a weak and helpless child, no older than Selka. He was even slightly shorter than he was. He couldn’t lift his sword and he had to sit on the sidelines while Alice did all of the work. It was humiliating! This nightmare continued for the rest of the night, and he was unable to escape it.

He finally woke up in cold sweat. His clothes were drenched in sweat, and he needed to relax. Seeing that it was already dark out he slowly made his way to the bath, stripping off his clothes as he did.  The girls must be fast asleep at this hour. Or at least that’s what he thought.

“Ekkkkkkkkk!!!!!” the moment he opened the bathroom door he was met with a butt-naked Alice! “Get out of here you pervert!” she screamed throwing a bar of soap straight into his face, causing his nose to gush out blood as he was knocked out instantly.
