Luckily these would be the last gifts granted as well. Zatanna had Bee use the same spell on her and it only changed her clothes into Sailor Moons. While she wasn’t granted powers, she got to play dress up with her daughter and her friends, so she had a fun time.

By the time Sunday afternoon arrived Zatanna had forgotten about one simple last thing, and that was what to tell Jamie and Terry. Though when her doorbell rang, she was left with a feeling of dread wondering what to tell them.

Ding! Dong! Ding!

“Nepo,” Zatanna said, using her magic to open the door to see Jamie waiting for her.

“Zatanna, you look tired, were the girls that bad?” Jamie asked her. “Not at all, in fact, I had fun as well,” Zatanna said to him. “In fact, we might have had too much fun. While the girls are still upstairs getting ready, I think that I should tell you-”

“Brother, brother look at what I can do,” Milagro yelled running down the stairs and then creating a ball of fire in her hands for her brother to see. “Isn’t it cool! Bee gave me these new magic powers!”

“Milagro that’s amazing,” Jamie said, using his scarab to send signals to Pino to make it so that Milagro couldn’t hear the rest of their conversation. “Um, I going to look past the fact that my sister is never this excited and skip over to the fact that she is now using magic to create fire in the palm of her hands.”

Zatanna explained everything to Jamie expecting him to be angry with her for letting something like this happen but was surprised by his response.

“I understand,” he said to her. “I’m not too happy that she can now start fires on a whim, but I do understand that it wasn’t your fault nor was it Bee’s. Perhaps it was her destiny to have these powers, but who knows? I’m just happy that she’s not hurt, though I will have to request that you spend time with her and train her to use these new abilities. Reach tech I know, but magic not so much.”

“I promise that I will do everything in my power to help her. If you like I can explain it to your parents as well,” Zatanna said, glad that Jamie was such an understanding and kind person.

“No, it would be better if you didn’t,” Jamie said to her. “Our parents are easily accepting of the change. For now, I will just tell them that her firepower is just a new feature of her scarab. They should believe me. I’m pretty sure that they will be singing your praises after getting Milagro to come out of her shell like this, what exactly did you do?”

“To be honest it is all her. I think that her new powers as well as Pino’s new voice had helped her become more confident in herself.,” Zatanna said to him.

“Wait what voice?” Jamie asked as Zatanna lead him and Milagro out the door.

“Haha,” Zatanna awkwardly laughed. “I’m sure that Pino would love to tell you, right Pino?”

“Of course,” Pino said in a high-pitched girly voice, as Zatanna began to shut her door.

“What the fu-” Zatanna heard Jamie start to freak out, but it was his problem now.
