Adventures As A Pokémorph Part 10

“I think we should try this one,” she said, pulling out a sparkling filly pink dress.

“Um, can I just… nope!” I tried running again but it was no use. Before I knew it the dress was already on me and both Lila and her mother were taking pictures of me.

“He’s so cute,” Lila said taking multiple pictures of me.

“She is so adorable, what about this one next?” her mother asked holding up the magical girl costume Lila wore for trick or treating when we were five.

“OMG! I haven’t seen that in years, do it,” Lila said as her mother stripped me of the current dress and then made me wear her magical girl costume.

“So precious!” her mother said, starting to take several pictures of her own. “Now say the line that girl from the show said,” she insisted.

“In the name of Mew…. I shall…punish you,” I said embarrassed to my very core, while I did the pose that came along with it.

From there Lila and her mother made me try out dress after dress, costume after costume, and any pairing of clothing they could find. By the time their so-call” fashion show” was over it was already dark out.

“Alright I think that this works for her don’t you?” Lila’s mother asked her looking at me.

“Yeah, I agree,” Lila said to her. “It shows how cute he is, but at the same time shows a level of maturity.”

I looked back at the mirror in the room to see my new look. I was just wearing a pink hoodie which even at my current size was a bit too big.

“Are you sure you guys don’t have any pants?” I asked them.  I guess that this worked for now, but it still felt awkward. I wonder if I’ll ever get used to this feeling of being naked all the time. Perhaps I could do what that professor did and get some custom-made clothes.

“Sorry, but with your legs as they are now, it wouldn’t work,” Lila’s mother said, playfully putting the hood over me. “At least you look cute like this~.”

“Yeah, that’s exactly what I wanted,” I said disappointed with my current look.

“Now let me ask you, have you calmed down some more?” she asked looking straight at me. “Lila told me how freaked out and scared you were when you woke up not just for yourself but for your mother as well. I hope that this little bit of fun we had helped.”

“It did, thanks,” I said giving her a hug since it just felt like the right thing to do.

“Aww, so precious I would just love to adopt you like this,” she said to me.

“Sorry, but still legally 18,” I said ruining her fantasy. “Despite how I look I’m still the same age.”

“Fine, but you two should give me a call when you evolve into a Krilia, I have way more clothes that will be able to fit you, and more that I’m sure you would like to wear. Though I will leave these here, who to tell when you girls will need them.

“Mother, are you really going?” Lila asked her. “I am. I have work tomorrow. I have to explain to my co-workers why my daughter is still here and not out on her adventure right now.”

“We wanted to go, but we didn’t get a starter and then this happened, so neither of us has a choice but to wait,” Lila said to her mother.

“Do you really?” her mother asked her. “The world is changing as we speak, and more and more people are becoming Pokémorph’s. Perhaps it’s time that the two of you change your way of thinking. You may not have a Pokémon, but you do a best friend that is practically a Pokémon now. I know that both of you are still young and have many dreams that you wish to accomplish, so you shouldn’t give up just because of one or two mishaps. Besides if you use Josh as your partner Pokémon in contests, I’m sure that with her cuteness alone you’ll win.”

“Mother!” Lila yelled as her mother left. “I’m sorry about her Josh, you know how she is.”

“It’s fine,” I said back to her, “In fact, she made a bit of sense, the world is changing and there is no telling if what my father did to me and the other Pokémorph’s is permanent. I’m going to need some time to think about everything.”

“Don’t worry, no matter what happens I will never leave your said,” she said embracing me once more. Before I changed, she was always awkward when touching me, but now she was doing it without hesitation. It almost felt like we lost something between us when I changed.
