Adventures As A Pokémorph Part 14

Among the Pokémorph’s there were many of the same Pokémon, and there were even ones that had none. These are the Legendries and Mythicals. They were the ones like us. Across the world, I was the only Ralts Pokémorph, and my mother was the only Gardevior Pokémorph. It was curious indeed. There were at this moment in time only 1000 or so Pokémon, and we were the only two of our kind. I wonder if my father had planned this as well.

I wished that my mother would wake up, but at the same time, I didn’t. I didn’t want her to wake up like this, with the world in the state it was now.

“Come on Serena it’s time for the next test,” Lila said entering the room. “Another thing that changed over the past month I had Lila help me change my name. I didn’t know how long I would be in this body or if I could go back to normal, so I decided to accept it. My mother had always wanted a daughter named Serena, I just hope that she won’t be too mad that I took the name.

During this time I had been going to a support group run in the hospital for those that became Pokémorph’s. Every there knew who I was, and at first they hated me, and I couldn’t blame them since it was my father that turned them.

Through many sessions with them, they started to accept me more and more, understanding that I was just as much a victim as them. It was thanks to them that I was able to begin accepting who I was now and what I can do to keep moving forward. Plus it helped that Lila rarely left the hospital even though she was allowed to. She stood by my side this entire time.

“Serena it’s so good to see you again,” the doctor said. Ever since more Pokémorph’s had started to arrive the time that I spent with her decreased to my delight, though she still made sure to make more time for me than the others.

“Today I have a special test for you,” she said pulling out a filled syringe. “This is a tad bit of a risky test, though I do hope that you will help as always,” she said knowing that I couldn’t say no.

“What’s in the syringe? “I asked her.

“Just something that could be used to protect all Pokémorph’s,” she said to us with a smile across her face. “If you let me inject you with this I’m sure that you’ll find out.”

“Fine, good ahead,” I said giving her consent as she injected me with the contents of the syringe.

“See that wasn’t so bad no was it,” she said to me with a smile, but then all of a sudden without warning she pulled out a Pokéball and tapped it on my head!

Instantly I felt myself getting sucked away into the ball and then there was nothing but darkness. I felt that walls around me start to cave in, and I hit them over and over again to make them stop. Eventually, I felt myself get spit right back out of the ball back to where I was sitting!

“What the hell was that!?” Lila yelled grabbing me and holding me in her arms away from the doctor.  “You just tried to catch her!”

“Dang yet another failure,” the doctor said back to her. “Yes, I did try to catch dear Serena, though I knew she would escape. It was never my intention to catch her forever either. I just wanted to check if the chip I entered into your bloodstream would stop her from being caught with a Pokéball, though it would seem that there are still a few more kinks to work out.”

“You tested an experimental device on her!” Lila yelled furious as well.

“She was the one that agreed to it,” the doctor said to us. She was right, but it still didn’t make me feel any better by what she said. “It is still in the testing phase, so we need to test it out on every Pokémorph that we can. It’s to keep you safe, so you don’t have to be caught in the PokéHunts.”

“Well, I guess you right,” I said back to her. “Just give me a warning before you do that next time, or I will use Physic on you.”

“Haha, ever the kidder you are,” the doctor said standing up to leave. “There is nothing else that I need from you today. There is some news I would like to talk to you about in regard to getting you to evolve, but it’s still too soon for that. There are just too many unknown variables.”

“I’m pretty sure you heard of the Eevee Pokémorph in Alola that used a Fire Stone to evolve and ended up burning down a portion of the hospital they were staying in. We don’t know what will happen with you evolve.”

“That’s fair,” I said back to her. “Not to mention changing into a new form after I just got comfortable with this one, doesn’t sound too appealing at the moment.”

“Then that’s perfect. Just stay the way you are for now,” she said leading us out of the room. During this past month, I tried to figure out her motives only to come to a dead end every time. I wonder what she was hiding.

BING!

Lila’s Rotom phone went off, making her check her messages.

“Yes! They’re here!” Lila screamed softly, pumping her hands up and down. Ever since their first fashion show with me, Lila and her mother have been constantly bringing my clothes to try on. At first, it was awkward, but eventually, I got into it myself, though I tried my best not to show it.

“Serena, do you mind if I go to the front desk and pick them up?” Lila asked, looking eager to grab them. Little does she know that I used my Rotom phone hidden back in my room to text her mother to bring her some clothes as well. She wasn’t the only one that was allowed to have fun.

“Sure go ahead. I’m going to go check on my mother real fast,” I said as she put me down.

“Alright I’ll see you back in the room,” she said running off without another word while I made my way to my mother.
