March Release NOW available!!

Hi guys! ⚔️

The March Release is finally here! 🎉🎉

As we promised you, we’ve created the biggest release in Highlands Miniatures ever made, sixteen amazing zombie miniatures: eight zombie villagers, five zombie warriors and three zombies for the command group… A real zombie horde bred for a single purpose… to destroy the world of men. (I swear I’ve never listened this quote before 😅)

We’ve added two little unit fillers to this release for the first time, the two playable bases with a zombie coming from the ground. What do you think about unit fillers? Do you use them in your tabletop units?

We've really enjoyed doing this release because we’re really fans of the zombie’s theme… movies, series, we’ve watched them all!

Hope you guys like it as much as we do!

These are FANTASTIC! Very easy to print, and great sculpts! Nice work! Love 'em

Hi Hans! Welcome back! We always send the MMF message to redeem the release at the end of the month, so we'll send the March Release through MMF at the end of march! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Was able to rejoin, but have not recived a mmf message to add the months release there

Tony, you can get a free download of Lychee and import an unsupported .stl file. The program will automatically generate supports, and they work quite well.

Hi Tony! In case you want to increase the tip diameter of the supports (they are in between of 0.3 and 0.4 or similar for the standard pre-supported files, so they're already big) you can easily do it in Lychee! You just have to drag and select all the supports, go to Tip Diameter, and increase the size. Then, export the miniature again as a STL file and that's it! We created a video about how to do it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIkI5bzIQZU If you have more issues, drop us a message! Thank you :)

Hello fellow Patreons - Loving these models but I'm having a problem getting the pre-supported models to print successfully. The bases stick to the build plate fine but I'm finding that a lot of the connection points 'break' away from the model during printing causing the subsequent areas to either print in a flat mess . If I support the model myself with heavier supports then I'm able to succeed! Any tips to make the pre-supported models print successfully would be very well received, printing on a Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4k with their 4k grey resin

We've been thinking about it too! It would be a great idea for a little Kickstater, undead pirates vs royal infantry!

Highlands_Miniatures

Can't wait to see more pirate dead! thats an army waiting to happen for me. Cannons, parrots, skeletons, boats, - can't wait.

Hi Eli! For upscaling usually you wouldn't have any issue, unless you're trying to scale the miniatures really big, so you will need to add a few more supports to hold the weight of the miniature :)

Highlands_Miniatures

For upscaling werewolves, can I just upscale the pre supported minis, or do you think that will be an issue with supports?

Eli Williams

It’s ridiculous how good these look.

Karsten Krahe

I use the units for dnd so to be able to put zombies at different stages of coming out if the ground is great. Then as the players take time killing things you can swap them with full zombies

ResinandFilament

I must admit, I was a little bit worried when I read the theme would be zombies this time. But I'm very pleasantly surprised, they're very unique! Congrats!

Wim D.

happiness are zombies. unitfillers are wonderful, and with a horde a necessity

We've an idea based on some spanish medieval era myths from the Reconquista. :)

Highlands_Miniatures

I'm very curious to see how the reliquary will look.

Glitterwolf

Reliquary, hell yes. Unit fillers, hell yes. Highland miniatures? Hell yes.
