the barrel tier link is a 404 for me. I just joined. Should i wait a few days and try again?

Blake Moody

Hi James! We are still waitting to have the last two miniatures with supports, but we'll upload the rest of the November Release along this day! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

When will the November release be out? I've not had an email or notification. Thanks.

Of course it is! Stay tuned to your email Saturday night... 😈🦇💀

Highlands_Miniatures

Is the Halloween surprise for the November release? :) I'm looking forward to it. *hint hint *

Has anyone scaled these horsemen down to fit in better with other 32mm minis like the ones from the ASOIAF tabletop game? If so, what percentage did you use? I printed two, so far, and they seem quite a bit bigger, you see :)

Marc Hutsebaut

Wow I did not expect such a quick reaction and would like to thank you because such a service is not an everyday occurrence. Thank you again.

Hi Otto! We've just sent to you a message! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Hello I am excited about your miniatures. that's why i got the august release because i liked the Medival Heavy Cavalry. But now I have two questions. 1. Are there any alternatives for the knights' lances? The existing ones look kind of like corkscrews. 2. Since I print the figures in a different scale, I need them without support. Unfortunately, the shields are only available with support, even in the folder without support. Can you get it somehow without support?

Hi Ewan! First of all, thank you so much for your words and the things you said in the other post, we really appreciate having patrons like you. We'll try to keep creating miniatures that make the community happy, that's our goal. So, again, thank you. About the issue you told us, the only thing I can say is.. whaat. Honestly, sometimes I don't understant why some things happen. We've just figure out where is the issue. We think is something related to the different way that this two sofwares (Chitubox and Lychee) work with the supports. We've checked and updated all the files and we think now is solved. Can you please check them again (we've updated the files in the Archive) and see if it's solved? Thank you!

Highlands_Miniatures

Finally started printing the Horsemen; just a quick thing though a few of the models aren't flush on the build plate. Or rather their "rafts" aren't. There's a few horses where a single support is flat on the plate first and then the raft goes on top. Depending on your layers this can lead to a failed print. I've learned that the hard way in the past and I always scroll down to the very first layer before slicing to ensure the rafts are all secure! Hehe... :( I knocked the problem ones down to -0.25 on Z axis in Chitubox to solve the issue. Hopefully that will help folks who may have issues.

Ewan Walker

I'm using a photon. Prints came out beautiful! Now the toughest part is figuring out which rider goes on which horse and which base ;)

Hi Philip! First of all, thank you for join in us and welcome to the family! Mmm.. The Anycubic Photon is almost the same machine as the Elegoo (same 40W power led and identical screen) and we've been using the Water Washable resin for this release, that requires one or two second more for exposure time than a normal resin, and we haven't had any problem with 9s for exposure time. So weird! Maybe is because the lifting speed? Our lifting speed is slow, something between 40-45, to avoid suction issues. Please let us know if the new batch comes better! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Love the knights! Saw them on reddit and had to come sub immediately. Printer is running right now. I can't believe elegoo abs-like grey cures within 8s for you. I had to increase my exposure from 11 to 15 seconds because the first attempt failed. Anyway, looking forward to future releases!

Hi Otto! Thank you for your interest! We've just sent to you a message! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Hello These dark knights are just great. but I have a question. there is something like a shop where you can buy the older files. I would be very interested in it.

Hi Petros! Ups, we forgot to add that label, sorry! We print with 0.05 layer height (the minimum quality) to have them print as faster as we can. And about the bases, we're creating it in that way because in our mind they're in some place like a cementery or a destroyed castle, fighting agains the Medieval Kindgom, but yes! We'll try to add more variety to the bases. Also, when we change the campaign and start making other armies, of course the bases will be different. Thank you for the feedback! :D

Highlands_Miniatures

Two quick comments please: 1) the settings spreadsheet seems that it doesn't have the layer thickness. Are you using 0.04mm as default? and, 2) all the bases are paved stones, which makes sense in a way but shouldn't there be other types e.g. dirt, forest, etc?

Thank you so so much Nates Miniatures! We'll try to make our best, thank you always for your support ❤️

Highlands_Miniatures

Wow Jefferson thank you very much! That means a lot ❤️ We'll try to keep the first printing position!!!

Highlands_Miniatures

Hi Christian! You can still using Chitubox for the STL files, as we do. But if you want to modify the supports, you need to use Lychee to do the changes. Atlas 3D Support Solutions, the guys who make the support to our minis, have moved from Chitubox to Lychee to do it because this new software allow them to make better supports. Here you have a video from these guys explaining why the changed to Lychee and how to use it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfS_iJnxPGg&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR0UNqfLrPGP5euSILDG8pHMVQOEHzo_ktZIPJqYhJ1w-wvHSZQG1spxRtc If you have any other doubt, please let us know! :)

Highlands_Miniatures

Hi Mikko! We don't create the supports for our miniatures. We've a partnership with Atlas 3D Support Solutions, who creates the support for us and for other Patreon. They've moved from Chitubox to Lychee to make the supports, becasue the software allow them to make better supports. But you can still use Chitubox as your slicer for the STL files. If you want to modify some support, you have to download Lychee and use it, it's very easy. :)

Highlands_Miniatures

and how i have to handle the file change? or does .lys works in chitubox?

Christian

Previous months' releases had .stl and .chitubox files, but current month has .stl and .lys files available. Is there a reason for the file format change?

Fantastic work Highlands Miniatures, some of the best undead knights I have seen.
