That’s horrifying. I thought you had to be killed by a ghoul to become one, much like zombies. But like The Walking Dead (I’ve only seen the first season), the potential to become one may be in all the dogs. Maybe they should burn more bodies after death? Another comment made me wonder. What if the dogs being ageless/sort of immortal have to do with becoming a ghoul after death? Like it's essentially horrible immortality? You can be young forever and never suffer from old age, but you never truly die, you rise again as a twisted ghoul. Just a thought. Also, glad to see Roamer commenting on Zilas. So many people complained that Zilas was forgotten, but there was just never a chance to bring up his death. I wouldn’t be surprised if that feline ghoul WAS Zilas. :(

I feel so bad for Rogio. Also, beautiful touch that Ferah lied her paw on Fjor's for comfort. Did she immediately move away though after that panel? The fourth one shows that they moved a distance away from each other. I'm also sad about Zilas - it makes me wonder about the night beast that chased Keirr. The sounds it emitted weren't what you would call 'Doglike,' instead, it says things that are 'Catlike' - of course having nightbeast in the mix.

I wonder if other tribes know of anything that can be done to prevent others from rising. I'm just picturing a time where the whole world could be overrun by those things even if only a few people a year turn.
