Also Kique can I get some advice on how you drew her muzzle when she pulled her lips back to reaveal the skin? One of my characters in my online novel has lost the skin on his muzzle and this is the sort of look I was going for (if that makes any sense).

It's a long shot but I think it might be Ranach's blood? Since that's the only thing that automatically comes to mind. It is in liquid form and Ranach's words do make a bit more of sense. "... I set you free from your shackles. With my blood merged with yours, you become my chosen... " So maybe she needs the blood of someone (the summoner) in order to be free and has to carry it around? And I hope your theory of Fremja isn't true... It's too soon for this girl to die ;^;

Holy shit, she's terrifying. I was expecting something werewolf-like, and though she does remind me of one, her face... O.O that's just freaky how the skin peels back to reveal an almost dinosaur-like snout. She is truly something to be feared, and clearly a force to be reckoned with, what with how quickly she disarmed Roamer before he even had a chance to react. And seeing Fremja gazing at the dropped knife in the 2nd to last panel, my first thought was, GO, FREMJA! PROVE YOURSELF AS A WARRIOR! ...But, she needs to be careful. Attacking Avantifegr likely won't turn out well for her all, and I'd hate to see her get hurt, or even worse, killed. And speaking of which, I see that ghoul-hand reaching for Roamer in the last panel... =/ Oh, the suspense!

Do night beasts attack creatures such as this, or like Beast-Aira? I wonder if there's something about them that makes them undesirable to attack, like being of similar kind. I notice she also has two earrings on her right ear. I wonder what those are about, or simply decor from her time.

I gotta agree with the previous comments. Avantifegr's lip curling back is really freaky, but for a cursed beast that's supposedly "lacking beauty", she's not a complete eyesore. Her eye color looks exactly like beast Aira's, and also beast Rogio's in his first nightmare (before his eyes become more ghoul-like in the subsequent ones). Maybe that's typical of cursed beasts after they've been cursed. Speaking of curses, I do think the vial around her neck may hold the key to defeating her. There could be either red liquid or powder inside, but I think it's liquid. Blood, to be precise. It would make perfect sense, given the soundtrack for these pages, and the fact that Ranach shed his own blood in the summoning ritual. Ranach summoned her with the shrine, the summoning words, and "merging his blood with hers". What if the one Avantifegr loved laid a curse on her in a similar way; by shedding blood and then casting the curse? It wouldn't surprise me if that's the case, and that defeating her will be similar to how beast Aira was defeated (albeit with that vial playing a role). Whatever happens, I'm shaking in my boots. Because Avantifegr is absolutely terrifying with how swiftly she ran on all fours, disarming Roamer and knocking his torch away before he even had a chance to fight back. I think Fremja's definitely gonna end up attacking Avantifegr with the knife she's looking at, but whether or not she survives is another story (someone's gonna die here, I just know it). I'm not as worried about Roamer, considering he's a main character, and there's still a lot of ways he can develop. He's just been made Baron, and still has yet to earn the respect of the tribe in full, after all. And I think there'll still be a Meteor Tribe at the end of this, albeit one even smaller than it is now (and in greater need of allies, but my theories on that are for another comment). Still, Roamer better run, because THAT HAND IS COMING FOR HIM!!!

Her mouth is FREAKY but I love her design! It reminds me heavily of geladas flipping their lips back. I wonder if she needs to breathe though since it seems it covers her nose holes. Or maybe she just holds her breath, that'd be interesting. I'm really really hoping the tribe gets out of this alive, I'm not worried about Ronja, Roamer, or Rogio since they're main characters but I am hoping the rest of the gang survives this. EDIT: It's very interesting she appears to be bipedal as well, I would think it'd make her far more intimidating to the dogs and gives her the advantage of having hands where the dogs have to use knives and other weapons with their mouths.

... am I the only one who finds it a little strange that her and Roamer's eyes are the exact same color? I wonder if there's any link there, considering the beasts we've seen have different eye colors... maybe coincidence but definitely something note-worth. Now we know why she walks on her hind legs. She has hands! It would be pretty dumb for her to walk on her hands, considering those are more for grabbing and swiping rather than jumping, running, etc. She looks like a cross between Volemort, a human, a wolf, and some type of dinosaur... she wears a cloak of some type, her skin on her snout peels back, and she... has some type of vial on her neck? It's red... I wonder whats inside of there and if it's a liquid or powder? Do you think the way of killing Avanti is similar to how Aira was? When Aira died, Kargo had to call her and explain what happened to her, THEN kill her. Do you think it's the same? Or should be PERFORMED the same way? Personally, I don't think she's 'lacking beauty' - for a ghoul-like monster, she's actually not a complete eye-sore to look at. I see Fremja looking at that knife... I wonder if she's going to grab it, leap on Avanti's back, and stab her in the throat with it? Or perhaps try to, Avanti counters it and goes to focus on killing HER, messes her up a bit, and Roamer is the one who kills her, with Fremja possibly dying in the process? WHAT IF THE VIAL ON HER NECK IS THE CURE? If everyone's theories about her being werewolf-like, and having her be contagious, then maybe that vial is the cure? Perhaps the cure for her own form as well, and she just doesn't know? I have so many questions dfbghjdfbghjd

When have we ever seen an actual 'wolf' in this entire comic and Asmundr? Hint: We kind of never did. It's a term, that doesn't mean it's referring to actual wolves as far as i'm aware.

And is it just me or does Avantifagr seem more... Humanized? For one, she reminds me a lot of Voldemort and he's kinda human, I think (not too familiar with H.P). Not to mention that her front limbs are more hand based. The fact that she walks on two is also strange and she seems to have more human like muscular aspects to it too. Not to lastly mention that instead of growling or something that's closer to a wolf (since it's stated that she is), she shrieks. That's not normal and ain't no wolf °~°
