Rohgir: I want you to stay here and have future :c Also Rohgir: *BITCHSLAP*

Waikku

I actually couldn't agree more. If anything, Jahla who fought in the war and then lived in the wild while he was save and sound on that island, would earn his title more the he deserves it. But yeah I totally can imagine how he uses to tell the tales about his fight against the shieldwolves and how he lost his eye, earned his scars...Lifa should be somewhere there too, as she is the founder of the whole species, but seemly he even deny who his mother is, which makes that whole thing even worse.

Adora

Though VizerynWolfie already covered most everything I would’ve brought up, myself, in their own excellent comment, I would still like to add a few thoughts I have that I didn’t see mentioned, before... First off, I wonder if Rohgir has lead all the other Akiulfr into believing that he lost his eye from fighting against the shield wolves, since he seems to have completely omitted anything about his *true* past, including his upbringing, and his relation to so-called “weak” regular dogs (and the Liulfr, for that matter, who he has painted as a completely “evil” species, when we all know it’s not that black and white); something tells me he has never even told his tribe about his mother, meaning he has probably never told them about how he lost his eye protecting her. “Wolf of Battle”, my ass... I used to think it was somewhat fitting, considering how he fought and killed the green alien-dog-thing that was trying to abduct Lifa, but it he really has that title, not because of that particular feat (which was impressive, and the main reason why he was one of my favorite characters, back then), but because of the lie that he took part in the battle against the Liulfr invasion on Earth... well, I don’t agree with *that* at all. Everything Jahla says in this page is true, and honestly, though I know it’ll only make the situation much worse, I hope she attacks Rohgir, after that slap; not only is she obviously fed up with him, at this point, we already know she has a bad temper, and considering her fiery personality, I just can’t see her taking this lying down (so to speak). Then hopefully Argeirr will step in and break up the fight between his siblings... or, even better, I wish I could see Father, himself, intervene here. Though I still don’t fully trust him (or the other Sky Gods, for that matter), based on what we’ve seen from his character, in “Asmundr”, I really don’t think he’d approve of how Rohgir is acting, and who better to finally make Rohgir see past his god complex than his beloved “God”, himself? Honestly, regardless of the suspicions I have toward Father and the other Sky Gods, I don’t believe that how Rohgir is running the Origin Orion Tribe (and especially what he is telling them), is what Father actually wanted... maybe it was, at first, when Rohgir was first introduced to the other Akiulfr, as their leader, but over the years, without Father’s guidance, Rohgir started doing things his own way... and we can now see the disastrous results of that.

CorruptAngel

Though Ranulfr never hurted Lifa >:| Rohgir is more asshole than his father.

Waikku

Oh, how he possesses his fathers attitude and whatnot.

Hericiium

Yeah I want to know where Roghir got that idea. Father didn't tell them they were weak and needed to be replaced... He told Kainan that his parents were a step above the rest and that he was amazed with how much greater Kainan himself was. Yeah, then he said his kind wouldn't interact with theirs anymore, but if anything that was for their own protection because the sky gods probably felt like jerks for mucking up everybody's lives like that. If there was any "replacing" it was probably because the sky gods felt they needed to take on the responsibility more directly with their own creations. Not because anybody was weak.

JackalHackal

It was definitely a mistake for Jahla to lie, but she really did have good intentions, and it wasn't an unreasonable fear to worry they might try to retaliate. I'm not defending it or anything, but she was at least pure in her intentions, vs Roghir doing it for power and ego

JackalHackal

I think because he has had no chance to know any better. His only experience with a normal dog was his mother and even she wasn't totally normal. But he saw her as weak, taking bated meat, running away form her problems to the mountain in isolation. He had no chance to experience the other dogs, their way of life, their character. He has been in isolation with a god complex, of course he thinks this way.

JackalHackal

It rubbed her the wrong way, too, like when she told Rhov that it was Roghir that couldn't be trusted, and how surprised/annoyed she was to see him when she first entered the island. He has proven every bit of the skepticism and frustration

JackalHackal

Hmm.. I guess, Roghir did not say the tribe who his parents were?.. Poor thing

ElenPanter

You know, I never had good feelings about Roghir from when he told Jahla that she would find out the hard way back that the beginning of this story. when he never warned her of the night beasts and other hazards of the land they moved into. there was this selfishness aloofness that always rubbed me the wrong way..... well it seems it has come to a head.

Defhammer

Your ego hurt pretty much, Roghir? I can't believe he hit her, even so I love the conflict from story perspective. There lies so much potential in here. Now it becomes clear that my feeling never was wrong...Roghir does view other species lower then himself and his precious Akiulfrs, despite his tribe suffers he decided to put a blind eye on it in favor for his own agenda. Shame on you, Roghir. You know, in a way it was a neat parallel to both, Rhov x Jahla fight and also Kargo and Roamer. Kargo was a bit manipulative, Roamer angry and very cold but none of those would hurt the other one. Rhov also showed Jahla a mirror yet none of them went violent. Roghir clearly never came over his bad temper as much as he wanted. Jahla is right. All he just gives them is a bad ego. He himself forms the Akiulfrs in something similar to the Shield wolves- being who thinks they are superior, stronger and better. Now just the question remains if Father truly thinks so as well or not and Roghir made that up. I don't trust the sky gods at all and especially father did so many wrongs it nearly makes him a villain despite the fact he healed Kainan in the end, but that wasn't enough after all he had done. Khellir on the other side, hum...he did a huuuge sacrifice for the dogs, so let's see. Funny how Roghir twisted that whole thing even in his head, cause he seemly has forgotten who his father and yes, his MOTHER was. You are pretty much just a hybrid, Roghir, nothing really special about you. You fathers side was violent and dangerous and your mothers side fought them. The only Akiulfr that deserves the praise is Jahla who risked her life too. Wolf of battle, my gosh lol.

Kuni

improvement in coloring!

you can hear glass broken in background with that face I'm curious to see which type of reaction he will have... will he stay in shock, will he freak out aggressive, will he stay calm as hell (scary af ), will he cry the hell out, will he sink in a silence ( some people reacting to shocks stop talking for years and years )... so many options I would say he would had stood by Roghir by all logic, but since roghir clearly stated that Jahla was indeed right... WELP. Denial sounds very unlikely. . I wonder if Roghir ever used the name "Ranulfr" too or just Liulfr. Maybe they don't even know the truth about him to begin with Thought I'm pleased to see that Lifa and Kainan made sure the kids, at least Jahla, knew that Ran "technically" helped and wasn't a "bad guy" 100%. While she doesnt aknowledge him as dad, she still clearly state he wasn't the "evil" despicted like in Roghir's story. so she technically lowkey "defend" him as being someone who, yes had flaws, but still made sure the dogs would actually win. -thinks- Technically... Ranulfr himself purposefully caused the extinction of the Liulfrs by using the dogs as "weapons". -thinks harder- That put a whole new veil over Asmundr if I look it this way now. There's no "real evil" there in the end. The pack ( asmundr, jahla, etc. ) didn't kept grudge and didn't held anyone responssible for all this but the green ones.

Viktor

( Posting it again because Patreon seems to have eaten it, sorry if it shows twice, on mine the other is not there anymore .-. ) I'm gonna put it here too for those not on the discord. IDK how much of it I can fit here thought. . Let's go, and sorry for the WALL. This is multiple theories/thinking/interpretations I made on the Discord server during the hour following the page, so bare with it it goes from A to Z passing by everything XD. . HMMMM... what about the Skygods put Roghir in power on purpose for him to screw up to Jahla raise up and take the place of Leader? What if... it was just a big big plan? It's not the first time the gods would use the dogs / akiulfr / liulfr as tool in plans like that.... e_e . What if all they wanted is a mature Jahla as a leader... She's always been the most close to Father since pup ( the "signing" ) too eê without Roghir as a "tool" she wouldn't had shown any interest in all of this, and without his lies/weird stories/shits, she wouldn't had wanted to call him out/destroy all this... Also, I like the point where Roghir tell what "father said", which could be true, but also sounds like a good way to manipulate Jahla into believing even more crazily into whatever the skygods may eventually say... What if Roghir is just the "puppet" put on the front line to pass as the "evil" and suck up everyones "frustrations", on purpose. ( a bit like Politicians, we all know it's not them who really leads but the ones with all da money behind.. ) HMMMMMMM...... -thinks- Like... just with the statement from Thakir about the 2nd gen of akiulfrs actually being raised in "simulated environnement", there's definitely something strange about the skygods to begin with ( maybe not Father, but the other blue aliens ) I wouldn't be surprise if Roghir actually got brainwashed the same way he's actually brainwashing the other akis -heavy thinking- . What I'm curious now is how Thakir will react to these "breaking news", because obviously Roghir admit it freely now. Thakir is a deep priest from all we seen so far. His whole life, his purpose, his whole thinking, his whole definition of existence, just exploded in front of his eyes in forms of "it's all false". The extreme shock and lost of balance with the sense of the world that surrounds him is gonna be soooo intense Like another dog would be shocked yes, but not as much as a devoted priest. And it just makes me so sad for the poor thing on so many level. I just hope he doesn't lose touch with himself TwT And to me, that might be what will make Jahla realise how strong and bad lies can be ; witnessing someone's who's whole life has been a lie, discover that fact. . I kinda hope she fights him lol.

Octarines

First - Am I the only one sitting and eagerly awaiting CorruptAngels response to this??? XD Also hitting Jahla is uncool - watch your step boi.

Thalidan

*smells the air* The winds of changes are coming...

Waikku

Same here but ik fr sure she doesn’t want to stay now she’ll probably leave nw

When I actually think about it these two may be different but rohgir really does take after his father except ran never put his fangs or paws on Lifa or the pups no matter how angry he got but roghir right here...he’s worst then his father .smh how could he do that

Hmm.. Another thing I forgot to write - I'm interested how Takir will react all this new information for him. And surely I'd like to see Jahla standing her ground. Though I wouldn't be suprised if she just left saying that he's not her brother anymore XD

ElenPanter

Did he really just hit his own sister?! Rohgir jahla isn’t one of ur tribe and she has every right to call u up on ur faults jerk!

I agree with her indignation but am also glad to see her hit a wall. She's headstrong and driven but unchallenged those could turn from good traits to bad. She needs to learn patience and tact. She needed a slap and he needs to learn to negotiate.

Black Ice Gryphon

Rohgir, why do you hate normal dogs ? '^' The Akiulfr aren't on the top. You didn't do anything on this war, they did ! Without Father you would be dead right now. Also, can we have wallpapers of this page ? Panels 4 5 6 7 ?

Akela74

SHit O_O How dared he to strike her like that... it's unfortunately that she didn't called for him in front of the others akiulfrs though... By the way, brown part of his coat appeared very visible now? I remember him to be nearly completely black in Asmundr

ElenPanter

!!!! Uncalled for. GET HIM IN THE GOOD EYE JAHLA!!!

Retroleem

Oooo. Hate to say this but Rog... Don't like you anymore. Resorting to violence is never a good, it's worse than harsh words and yelling. Having done that, Jahla completely lost all respect and trust in you but you wouldn't care enough to see that, huh Rohgir? I hope Jahla just leaves. Find the portal she came through and leave without saying a word. Also amazing page Kique, got me on the edge of my seat lol

DD

I can die in peace too now xD When even Jahla gives Ran the credits for saving Asmundr...

Yami

Rohgir, you're going down a dark path here. I can only assume what expectations were burdened on that guy's shoulders after the survival in the mountains, isolation and near death in Asmundr. I get that it's not easy to make sense of everything, especially with 20+ Akis entrusted to you by your "god...creator-figure", that desperately want to know their purpose in life. But these lies, twisting father's words like that isn't the right way for sure. I don't know if he really believes what he told Jahla but if he does he needs a good smack of reality. Maybe he finally snapped. He always had this top dog, better than the rest, short fused attitude and that's why I've never liked him much. I try to understand him but he sure doesn't make it easy. I'm questioning father too. Always did. We know he and his decisions haven't always been perfect (yet always with good intentions) but I've never seen Rohgir as best choice for a leader of the Akis to begin with. I guess with his real world experience Rohgir had to do for now. Maybe that's why Rohgir was trying so hard to get Jahla to join. To get some weight off his shoulders. ...and here I am theorize-blabbering again x) Anyway, this page is great! I'm very curious to see where this is going, especially Thakir's part in this since he knows the truth now.

Yami

Alright, you can argue. You can yell. You can scream at one another. But you should NEVER result to violence when you have a different opinion compared to someone. It's not even an opinion at this point-- it's literally FACT that the Asmundr canines and felines were the ones who fought for their homeland. I'm not surprised if Jahla truly is losing faith in the gods because honestly, if I were her, I'd be doing the same thing TOO. I've never trusted any of the gods in both Asmundr and Home for good reasons -- they simply never GAVE us a good reason to trust them. Call me selfish or paranoid, but trusting the gods, when they've made VERY bad decisions before (one would say decisions they regretted deeply later on, like for Zilas' death), is something I would never do unless they give us reasons. Moving on from not trusting the gods and etc, let's just talk about Rog's side of things. I can see why he twisted the truth. The tribe has been in very low spirits recently, but to think that you LIED to them about their supposed "purpose" -- because we all know the truth will get found out, whether it's in 10 pages or 100 pages later on -- do you know how distraught, betrayed, and even more depressed they'd feel if they found out you LIED to them, just to make them feel better? I feel like that would just make them feel worse about themselves, more so than what they're feeling currently... Sure, you can say that Rog said it to 'help' them, but you have seen the same thing in Jahla... she twisted the truth about Zilas' death, telling the pack that he was killed during a hunt when he was actually killed by the previous (and some current) MT dogs. Bending the truth is almost as bad as lying, if not more so. It ALWAYS gets uncovered, it ALWAYS gets found out, and the truth behind such lies will ALWAYS be discovered and it will ALWAYS be worse than it could have been if you were just honest with them from the very beginning! ALSO, ALSO... "they needed to be replaced because they were weak." SAYS YOU. You weren't there when the battle happened and you CERTAINLY don't know what it feels like to have a spear thrusted IN and OUT of your shoulder and chest over and over again. You don't know what it feels like to have a gigantic FANG go RIGHT through your throat and nearly kill you. You have NO idea what the battle was like because you decided to sit in Father's ship, when you yourself could have HELPED. You looked quite healed by the time the battle was over -- at least healed ENOUGH where you could have, I don't know, picked up a spear or something and killed at least one wolf? Although Ran gave them the advantage of being scattered, that was still a LOT of wolves to deal with. Not only that, but the size comparison of both tooth and claw -- physique and everything... that was a LOT to deal with. A lot of pain. A lot of heartache. A lot of fighting. That isn't weakness, that is pure strength if I've ever seen it. Not only that, but Kainan fought Ran alone by himself at the end of it all. The only injuries Ran really suffered that was a team effort was the cut ankles (I think thats all, anyway). The rest was from Kainan. He literally fought Ran with his own tooth and claw. That's not just strength -- that takes balls. Also, you didn't have to HARM your own sister like that. She's right about every word she says and although she's a tiny bit of a hypocrite, she's right... you deserved to hear such truth, but SHE didn't deserve to be scratched like that -- which is an equivalent in human-form to a slap. That, and she's your sister -- a female... you don't hit or harm females like that, especially when YOU'RE in the wrong. Especially when it's over something they SAID. Jesus, how childish can you be, honestly? Jahla isn't a little bitch, either. You really, really fucked up now, Roghir... unlike you, she's been in a battle before. She /knows/ how to fight. I have never liked nor trusted Roghir, so maybe it's just me being bias against him. I just don't like him -- he never gave me a reason to. Perhaps he can make up for it in the future, but for now... ugh, you REALLY aren't my favorite dog right now, Roghir! LOL Moving on from the story-side of things... I like how this page is drawn. I love the closeup of Jahla shouting at him - it really gives us some good perspective on the new length of their fangs. I have a feeling both Jahla AND Thakir are NOT going to settle with Roghir's recent actions very well, Jahla especially... she isn't one to take stuff like that. She's too moody and stuff to sit back and let that happen -- at least in my eyes, she isn't. Either Roghir better start counting his teeth or run, because he definitely is NOT gonna hear the end of this from both Jahla and possibly even their brother Argeirr... long comment, I know, but I thought I should write something quickly before I had to get up and go do what I was about to LOL.

Vizeryn

Damn Rhogir, you 'bout to get a whoopin O_O

Wild Dreamkiller

Yes -.-

Kique Nordin

Wait wouldn't it be "take a moment" in the first panel?

Omg he's such a jerk -.-

WolfieYote

idk why but i found this funny

And even if that was truly Father's words... it's still wicked as hell to even accept it to begin with .-.

Viktor

Wow!!! Fuck off Roghir! And I'm hyper happy that Jahla is calling him out for the zealot that he is. He's never cared about the normal dogs or even his own mother and that's exactly why I hated him back in Asmundr. And now I believe he's lost his better graces with his sister. She's seen what Roghir lied about; she was there when she had to protect their mother, she left the mountains to save her while all Roghir did was bitch about a shitty situation. His entitlement and "God complex" is why I'm not exactly trusting of the Aki's either, even though it isn't their fault. They weren't even allowed to exist if Ranulfr hadn't been with Lifa. HIS GODDAMN MOTHER! This falsifying and self aggranddizement is why Father should never have put him in power. And plus he's undermine the sacrifices of Jahla's family and then tries to make it sound like the Aki's were there all along. If anyone has lost faith in the Gods, it's Roghir. Or maybe it's the Sky Gods that are the corrupted ones for putting Roghir in this position to make everyone think that the Akiulfr's are the better species.

Tahja Tomlinson

I kind of hope not. If Roghir is twat enough to hit Jahla, he might be twat enough to hit aergeirr too, and Aergeiir is more uh... "weak" physically than even Jahla. I really hope the poor cinnamon roll don't T_T

Viktor

I also gotta underline how I love the contrast between Roghir and his father. While both were pretty much crazy ( one because of the red eye disease only ), the fact that Roghir talks about replacing/getting rid of the Dogs, compared to Ranulfr who only wanted to have the land territory.... To me that's far more crazy than Ranulfr .-.

Viktor

Oh shit. You shouldn't have done that, boy. You really shouldn't have done that. Roghir what are you doing. Jahla are you okay? Like man I'm not even a big fan of Jahla because of her lying about how Zilas died but she's done nothing to deserve this. Even if Roghir is telling the truth about what Father says, Jahla's perfectly right in calling him on this. EDIT (because I forgot how the enter key works here oops): I love the body details on this page. Jahla's in-lining when she walks, her erect ears and tail, Rohgir's lowered tail and ears. Thakir's face in panel three. Everything is just perfect. And it's a beautiful foil to Jahla and Rhov's argument earlier. And I just. Love how this is playing out. I'm interested and engaged even though we're dealing with a character set I'm not particularly enthused with following.

Kitsune

You can totally see that Thakir is reacting to Jahlas words of what REALLY happened! And WOW this I have been looking for between these two siblings! Now see how it aall will end! GAH!

Tora Collita

I really hope Argeirr steps in...

she's giving credits to Ranulfr. I CAN GO DIE IN PEACE IM GOOD. There's so many things I like about this page. Somehow, I do think part of what Roghir say is true. Thought... that ass move of harming his sister. I feel like some splitting is to come in that Tribe o.0

Viktor

Too far, Roghir. Too far.

...That's not going to end well.

Heiyu

Oh no. That was uncalled for, Roghir. This is just a much more escalated and reversed version of her last convo with Rhov. I wonder what Thakir will do here. I get giving the tribe a sense of purpose but it's really a shame that even the adults don't know the truth.

JackalHackal

Oh Rohgir. You dun goofed.
